I can still remember the first time I heard this on the radio in the early 80s....40 years later I still shiver from the lyrics...

chris thompson supplied me with the soundtrack for my youth. and still today, the band with the gentleman mick rogers and the great manfred mann blows me away every time they play somewhere nearby. personally i think they are the best live band ever. thank you for the music, MMEB. ❤ ... and chris thompson will always have a safe place in my heart. his voice is unreached and i place him right next to joe cocker.

Great to see this cool clip, pity they had to shorten the clip for TV as the LP long version is a killer track. Kiwi lead singer Chris has a great rock voice.
