How do they put the gasket ring on before they put the bop's on
It is tack welded in the grove.
I love that theme music. What is the title?
god bless american
Wow!! Amazing work👍👍.
Just think , HAD the Blowout Preventer worked , alot of this expense wouldn't BE necessary !!!
Mark good to see you again. Be safe out there.
I remember this: I was the cameraman on this job in 1998.
1998? the music made me think it was from the 80s! haha
When your your the cameraman on a well blowout, your not concern about music. Just trying to stay cool.@@the_real_bin_chicken
This video was made for training of future crews to control wells. Your can take out the music: It's the content. that matters.
My uncle drilled a well outside La grange, Giddings are back in the late 70s early 80s, drilling through the Austin chalk they hot a Hella gas pocket, rig blew out. He said they left the drill string in the hole and produced from it, after well was under control.
Pissing water onto a fire achieves nothing. Dynamite to force an evacuation of oxygen is what usually works.
That water was used to keep the steel cool.
Somebodys watched hell fire with John Wayne. Great movie.
It use to be the way to go but not anymore
You do not want to put a poison gas well fire out. It becomes more dangerous when not burning.
Just a bit north of where I live. I used to work on natural gas pipelines high pressure along the gulf coast. I’ve been involved in two blow outs when lines were damaged. Thankfully they never ignited but the amount of pressure those lines blow out at is incredible. Thankfully none of us were hurt but it was crazy being there to see it happen.
Fucking cudd? When you gotta save a buck I guess.
Cudd well control has a stacked team nowadays. They have some of the best in the industry. Years ago yes they were the lower tier. They took a lot of top guys in from wwc and boots and coots.
You don't know what your talking about!
Anyone know of videos with Bob Cudd speaking in them?
Respect
These men don't make nearly enought to do that job. But don't worry Biden is here to shut it all down
Hahahah. Yup. Go Biden. Energy dependence on foreign enemies is what we strive for!
Man every one in the pach thinks there the shit I'm sorry there not tho the bop capers are the the bosses of the patch
?
And merry Christmas 🎄
Are you speaking Cajun?
How often does this happen?
Not very often any more.
Yeah this has mostly gone away to automatic caps the pipes have on them which happened starting in the 90s I think
Still happens we did 3 last year.
Every day 😅
Red Adair's legacy carries on.
It would be interesting to know what the final bill came to. I imagine the contractors' workmen's comp. insurance premiums are stratospheric.
This is my county about 20 minutes from my house
Great respect for all the men in the field on this! Great skill and courage.
great!
