Why Luis Suárez SHOULD Be Called Up To Uruguay's Copa América Squad!
Join an exclusive Uruguay group chat on sports fans app Bunches: t.co/lszmxxKHSa
It's been the topic of discussion in recent hours. Will Luis Suárez be part of the Copa Améria squad? While Inter Miami teammate Lionel Messi has already joined up with Argentina, La Celeste's all-time topscorer is still nowhere to be seen in the Uruguay camp.
In this video I make the case for Suárez' inclusion. Let me know your opinion on this topic in the comments!

Uruguay straight win the tournament
Fede Viñas was going to be Darwin's sub. Unfortunately he snapped his achilles tendon at a training session in The Complejo Celeste. Then Cavani announced his retirement. Bielsa called up Merentiel for training but opted for Suarez. You also have to keep in mind that Kike Olivera and Bryan Rodriguez can also play as strikers. The Polifunctionality of players is the GREATEST thing about The Bielsa system. The worst thing is he runs the players into the ground.........hence the injury to Viñas and the retirement of Vecino. Hopefully he's learned that players need time off for recovery. This tournament will push players to their limits (a game every 3 to 4 days)
te amo amigo
Football si not always maths. Luis Suárez provides something special even for rivals. According to Bielsa's style he would not have plenty of playing time, however it is crucial that he is part of the squad. My hero, our Uruguayan hero. I hope his presence gets confirmed soon 🇺🇾💪🏼
Could not agree more man! I think we all understand that he should not be starting ahead of Darwin, but having him as an option from the bench in tight games is invaluable.
Suarez cannot press the opponents
I know, but in this video I don't say he should be starting ahead of Darwin. I am making the case for him to be in the squad as an impact sub.
Would you ever consider learning Spanish as a language
I have been getting better. I can read okay. I will probably start taking lessons and take learning the language more seriously after I finish my study.
I also believe that if you are 33 or over & want to be considered for the NT you should be playing in Uruguay.
why?
It's just my opinion, but those players dont exist w/o the league. They don't go abroad & make more money then you & I could ever dream of without the league. Mostly notably the fans. They should repay the fans by playing for them in the league; especially if they want to play in the NT.
He shouldn't be in the team. We need to build towards 2026, and we need others to face adversity and come up in a big occasion. For example you could make the argument Suarez (and Cavani) should have been called to the qualifiers. They weren't and it gave Darwin & others opportunity to grow & were stronger for it.
if WCQ are preparation for the WC and you don't anticipate those players will on the level in 4 years (and that's a pretty realistic expectation) then it makes sense to build the WCQ squad w/o them. but if they're better than your other options now (and sadly it seems that's still the case) then they should be part of the Copa squad to give us the best chance to win a trophy now.
@guipizza I don't accept your premise that Suarez far & above other options. If you give the opportunity to younger players they can help you now & in the future. Lo quiero a Luisito te juro, but we need to move on.
I get what you are saying, but at the end of the day the national team should be where the best players of a country play. And even at his age, Suarez is after Darwin the best striker Uruguay have imo. I agree that we need to build towards 2026, but I think we are already doing that. We should also try and fight for this Copa however. And with Lucho as supersub I think we increase our chances.
@UruguayanHeroes I'm happy for him & I'm sure he will have a great tournament. I do t k ow if he's better tha Merentiel today & we all know he won't be tomorrow.
You are obsessed with Luis Suarez 😅
Haha, how so? I guess I am obsessed with Uruguay so that automatically makes me obsessed with Lucho 😅
Uruguay will clinch the title
1 sub for 1000
Uruguay should be first in the group.
Absolutely. We are the strongest team in our group so that should be the objective.
Con huevos!
Really hope La Celeste can humble some of these deluded United States fans, I don’t know if it’s because they got to the semi final in 2016 but there’s a lack of respect from these morons. La Celeste is one of the most successful national teams in world football you have to respect us 🇺🇾
I going to final for shore
Hoping for Argentina vs. Uruguay 🙏
He’s back 🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾
Good to see you back as well! 🫡🇺🇾
no F. Israel? he's been the starter for Sporting for a minute and he's still young.
He's picked up an injury unfortunately and is unavailable for the Copa. I would have picked him if he was fit.
🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾

Vamos!
Another win :)
What a match! Bielsa's tactics were SPOT ON! All the best to M.Araujo with a bad injury. Nunez scores again and Bentancur is back in the squad
Vamos uruguay carajo
Bielsa is cooking. Geeat results this past week
Fantastic indeed. He’s been able to quickly shift the momentum of this team. He still has much work to do to get this team playing according to his beliefs, but the early signs are promising
@@UruguayanHeroes promising indeed. La Celeste were all over the Brazilians. Also as a Spurs supporters I'm looking forward to Bentancur's return from ACL injury. The way he plays -at least before the injury- would fit well into Bielsa's style of play
When bielsa was unemployed he rejected a life changing offer to manage the Saudi Arabia national team which has now been taken by roberto Mancini 🇮🇹
maturro?
Just coming back from injury
is mathias suarez active in the french league? good right back. happy olaza will get a shot as a left back
No, he has been back in Uruguay for a few years now. Giovanni Gonzalez is a good option ar RB now. He has been a starter for Mallorca.
Muslera was given a 4 match ban after the incidents in The game with Ghana. It's been reported in the media that Bielsa has contacted him. When Bielsa took over The Chilean National Team it took them 5 games before they got a positive result. I'm not sure how long it will take Uruguay. One thing is for sure if Uruguay loses on Friday he will receive a LOT of criticism. People will need to be patient.
I completely forgot that Muslera ban. Thanks for pointing it out! I fully agree with you on the fact that this the implementation of Bielsa's tactics will require time. We have to be patient for sure.
@@UruguayanHeroes Although Bielsa works a LOT with modern technology eg: Zoom meetings with the players, videos etc.... he only has minimal time training with them realtime face to face. For example, some of the players only arrived a couple of days ago for Friday's game. Personally I think it will take 6 - 12 months to FULLY implement his technique and style of playing in order to get the maximum benefit.
good content, we will always remember our captain, legend of Uruguay
Thanks a lot! He will go down in history as one of our greatest defenders.
great video bro, here in Uruguay we appreciate this things, Vamo arriba!!
Thanks a lot Hermano, more videos coming up soon!
Looking forward to watching Zalazar on the Portuguese league and National team. Great video!
Me too man, thanks brother!
he is a future starter 2026
hey, are u coming back with vina?
thank you so much for these videos of my country and Luis Suárez, we really apreciate this things, Vamos arriba la Celeste!!!
Well, so much for that hahahaha.
The streams are awesome.
Thanks for your support brother! I appreciate it very much!
I'm sorry to find about this channel just now. I'm from Bulgaria but all my life I've been supporting Uruguay. I became a fan when I was little kid in the 90s, it is pretty interesting how this happened but long story short I've always felt that bond with Uruguay, can't explain it... So happy to find there's a place where the non-Spanish speaking supporters could share their passion for La Celeste. I have so many things to say, sadly I've missed the live show. Will keep an eye from now on..
Hello there! I am glad you have found this channel, as my biggest wish for this channel is to unite people with a love for Uruguay. You can also follow the twitter account: @UruguayanHeroes. Kind regards
I think not having a warm up game in the middle east unlike other teams played a major role for Uruguay. They arrived not knowing their best 11 and played the first 2 games like warm up matches. Obviously the coach is to blame for the passive approach.
Warm-up game could've perhaps helped, but like you also recognize Alonso is the culprit for his cowardly approach.
any chance of Suarez/Cavani making it to qualifiers or even to the Copa America?
Very unlikely. I think they will both announce their retirement in the coming weeks
Thanks for the post mortem
We got robbed, AGAIN!
Am a Ghanaian, how are you doing.Gh is going score 3-0
As a fan of Ghana, Ghana is coming with strong rage, calmness and fastness. Uruguay is good but the reality is that Uruis playing average as compared to h9w they used to play in the forme years. Our chances of winning is extremely high because once again, we are coming with Fiery RAGE! You will understand on that day. Thanks for your video. Hoping you might win too. Thanks
Thank you for the post game video. I know it’s hard after that disappointing game. Looking forward to watching our young players develop after the WC. Hopefully we get a coach not scared to play a bit offensive. Uruguay NoMa!
Thanks for the support! I am obviously also looking forward to that, but really believe we could've/can have a top campaign this World Cup.
do not forget to suscribe and like the vid. this channel is great.
thanks for mentioning lcb. when it comes to spanish there are already plenty of channels, my favorite: crackcafe here on youtube. keep it up guys
the missing midfielder? the third one? brugman...
Uruguay beware, 22:41 Ghana is coming for you this time…. there will be no quarter given
