4 Days Fly Fishing at a Cottage in the Catskills
Join Garet and I on a getaway we took this spring to a cottage in the Catskills! We got a chance to explore the Catskills and I found some wild trout who would take a fly. We cooked all our meals on the grill, swam in the streams and got a chance to just relax. Where do you want to see us explore next?

I love collecting storage drives and should probably cut down on my collection a bit. Hard drives, SSD's and NVMe drives are all an important part of a PC build, since they are where your data will live. It can be tempting to go all out and buy the fastest drives possible, but there is lots of value elsewhere. Hard disk drives use physical disks to write and read data via a small magnetic needl...

This is a tough question I want to say no I reeled in my biggest muskie on 6lb test 44 inch but when I got him in he was foul hooked on the tail with my bass lure .
@@yourbud123 it happens to the best of us, thats still a nice fish and on light test line
Same happened to a buddy huge Muskie caught not hooked just tangled in the line. He mounted it. So yea it was fishing and he landed it.

Great video bud. massively helped me. Thanks man!

Blurry video! So great for filming big foot and ufo footage 🤣
Haha I know the video is not very good, I wouldn't recommend it for videography! One can try though
Im happy with GE cheaper and better i think.
this is soo helpful im going on a cruise soon and i want a weird and quirky camera for some vintage photos!
This should work great for that!
You're absolutely right! I came across this video because I found one of those Rocketfish cables on the back of my 90 year old mother's TV and didn't know what it was. Now I know and now I'm a more well informed tech shopper. Thanks for the video!
great video brother. found my moms old 995 a while ago and recently wanted to get it back to heath, bummed about the video drawbacks but i’ll definitely have to get a cf card for it and start shooting!
It's a pretty fun camera! Definitely has quirks but I like using it

Efficient review. Clarified the 568 quite well and helped me decide to go with the T7.
Music playing while you're speaking is distracting. The viewer can focus completely on what you're saying when there's no competing noise in the background.
Thanks for the review. Very informative. I just bought the DR-60D to connect two Rode XLRs mics and send the audio to my DSLR. I can't seem to make it work so that the audio from the Tascam is recorded into the camera. Got any tips?
If i dont have phantom power is ot working???
Where does the salt go? I need to put it because the water here is very mineralized and fogs up the glasses and cutlery.
Can you hear the voice saying "we're doing a mic check for five seconds." at the 18:06 mark of the video? It is so low that its in the noise floor. It then said "don't make any noise for five seconds." at the 18:10 mark of the video. If you are a true professional sound person, you should be able to pick up those sounds. If you are a top audio professional, you would hear the voice say "mic check is already done, but don't say anything because the mic is on, okay?" at the 18:24 mark when the microphone was turned off. If you don't hear any of it, you have bad audio equipment or ears.
Thanks for this. It's a "review" for me because I've used the 70D for quite a while -- sporadically. I bought the external usb battery power unit; I think it houses 8 AA batteries. The Eneloop Pro's are a very good investment. It seems to be very reliable and long lived. I have one question: I notice you are using the Saramonic wireless gear. You mention a video but I don't see a link. My question is about how you configure the D70 input channel for the receiver, i.e., is it with phantom power or not? Similarly on the transmitter: is it powered 3.5mm input or not? The Saramonic docs are not great about that and I'm not a constant user so a clarification would be a big help. Again, very timely even after 2 years. Thanks again.
Brilliant video man, thank you.
Thank you!
How well do you think this would work with a boom mic setup?
Slightly slow paced, but great video. Thanks
Nice video!
I've never used Rocketfish, but I do know this. You can't test a cable on a video you shot using low tech. The video will only be as good as the lowest quality element you use. That is why both your videos look grainy. I have seen the different between a twelve dollar cable and a two hundred dollar cable (Cinnamon-AudioQuest), it's staggering. Of course it was tested on a High quality OLED with a 4k source. There is also equipment out there which gives you performance numbers to back up the information on the box ( that is really the only way to test). As an old person, even I know that... There is so much to consider when buying an HDMI cable, like how much distance do you need to cover? Will it be mostly for tv or also for music? Is it going into a wall? What type of resolution do you need/want? At some point, the cable will max out on video, but the ability to make a crisper, cleaner sound goes on forever, and you can pay a thousand dollars a cable and get noticeable differences. I guess the good thing about being old, is I have the wisdom and the money to figure this out without taking the word of some, hmmm how do I say this nicely.... some snot-nose little brat....ha ha
I appreciate you making an account just to comment <3 boosts me in the algorithm
Thank you for making this video
thank you so much for this review
is this just for the camera
The good thing about this camera is how good the videos look in 1080p at 25 fps, the bad thing is the zoom lock and no AF during recording.
can you use it as stand alone
did you take all those photos with the lens attachment? i just got a cool pix 950! they seem very similar i’m so stoked to use it!!
I took most of my photos with it, the ones without the fisheye would be the ones without. I think the 950 is pretty similar! Let me know how it goes
bro this was a huge help. Saved me a bunch of time
Wait till you learn about AudioQuest. They charge an arm and a leg for their cables.
Ironically in 2024 people are ditching their smartphones for these cameras which are only growing in value. And more power to that I think this turnaround is fantastic.
Jan 2024 on ebay they are going upwards to $250. These would have been a good investment a couple years ago.
Please keep making videos you are a natural and a great educator
Hi Elias, the limit switch on the base serves to prevent the lens part to swivel down beyond the horizontal position by the weight of an optional lens converter. It may be confusing since the lens stil move back to the up position - that means - it limits the movement instead of locking it. About the front 8,4 volt port, it was used to power the camera direct from the AC outlet (via an optional adapter) witch is quite useful in some situations like studio or lab work.
Phase inverts the signals of a channel of audio. If the physical situation has placed the audio of two channels between 90 and 180 degrees out of phase of whatever is being captured, you can invert the phase of one of the two channels to improve the quality. Why? Imagine two identical sine waves, perfectly in sync, then you invert one of them, everywhere there is a peak in one, there is a valley in the other, exactly it's opposite. If the one is at 100%, then the other is at -100%. One's at 50%, the other is at -50%, etc. When you add them together (play them back at the same time), the analyzed output waveform will be flat. 0% across the board. No output. Now, if you move the 2nd waveform forwards or backwards in time away from the 1st waveform, the momentary sum of each combined waveform won't be 0% anymore. It'll be constantly shifting and changing and flanging and hollow sounding. That's comb filtering, which is when you have identical signals that are out of sync, or out of phase with each other at some degree other than 180. hth
very good review I subscribed
Hello Elias, I have to know, does this camera have a feature to include date stamp on the photo?
Gaming is fine, but what very day office use. My computer is a Mac mini 2018 addition. I’m trying to run two external hard drives and two monitors. What dock and cabling and equipment suggestions for that. At the moment I use a SVGA main and a 32 inch HDMI.
