Hi, I'm a new dancer. Do you have any tips for staying on relevé longer? Any balance tips?
Hi! Working on your balance daily for just a few minutes can be very helpful! Try to incorporate relevés and balances in passé into your quick daily tasks, such as brushing your teeth. As you rise to balance, press the ball of your foot in relevé with resistance back into the floor. This minimizes any hopping or dropping of the heel, thus aiding in maintaining your relevé for longer. Also, strengthening and engaging your core while turning can help you stay balanced. We have some quick videos of core workouts here on our channel! Hope this helps and good luck! :)
