The wonder of twinkling lights and the whimsy of nature collide and sparkle in The Winter Wander Trail at Boar’s Head Resort. Feel your Christmas Spirit come alive during an illuminated lakeside stroll that is truly magical. Food vendors, ice skating, fire pits, and the chance to sit down with the big man himself all make this holiday experience truly magical! You may even find SNOW!
We loved strolling around the lake, taking in the sights and sounds of this magical time of year while enjoying the music, food and fun all around us! Warm up with some hot fresh donuts or a s’mores kit by one of the many fire pits on site, or lace up skates and twirl around in the wonder of it all! Santa (and sometimes Mrs. Claus) are waiting to meet the little ones and there are festive drinks for imbibing grownups too! We highly recommend making a night of it at the Boar's Head Resort and making time for dinner at the Mill Room but more on that to come!
The scenic drive through Virginia Wine Country to charming and historic Charlottesville is totally worth it! It’s just 2.5 hrs from Washington DC and about 4 hours from our home of Lancaster, PA.
