Deacon Marc is a ordained deacon in the Archdiocese of Denver. In the Archdiocese of Denver, deacons are required to wear a Roman Collar as well as a Deacon Cross when serving in ministry. The wearing of "clerics" by deacons differs from diocese to diocese. Permanent Deacons can be married when they are ordained.

This is so important. People take so much stress off themselves by having an plan. Everyone should have a good funeral home that they are comfortable with. The Funeral Director, our family has dealt with knows EXACTLY what to do for our family. He knows us. He reminded us to add to the obituary that our loved one was a dedicated Knight of Columbus (instrumental in building a handicap ramp). He knows the music we want in church (Ave Maria, Irish Blessing), the cemetery, wake, of course, for our big family to fly in. Early funeral, because the cemetery is an hour away. He has also trusts us and has got us the best financial value for our budgets. Nice video!

Thank you for your interest in our video. “In circumstances when cremation is chosen because of sanitary, economic or social considerations, this choice must never violate the explicitly-stated or the reasonably inferable wishes of the deceased faithful. The Church raises no doctrinal objections to this practice, since cremation of the deceased’s body does not affect his or her soul, nor does it prevent God, in his omnipotence, from raising up the deceased body to new life. Thus cremation, in and of itself, objectively negates neither the Christian doctrine of the soul’s immortality nor that of the resurrection of the body. The Church continues to prefer the practice of burying the bodies of the deceased, because this shows a greater esteem towards the deceased. Nevertheless, cremation is not prohibited, “unless it was chosen for reasons contrary to Christian doctrine.” (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Instruction “Ad resurgendum cum Christo,” October 25, 2016.)

Cremation is from the Hindu religion. It is the most unnatural thing to burn a body after death. Christ's body was not cremated.

Our prayers are with you as you carry the cross of cancer. We also offer our condolences on the loss of your wife. We would love to speak with you further about your end of life options if you are interested. Please feel free to reach out to Deacon Marc at 303-715-2083. There are many benefits to interring your wife’s and your cremated remains in a cemetery. If cost is an issue, we have a no cost option. We would love to discuss those benefits with you. Again, our prayers are with you and your family during these difficult times.

It would be good if it was done like Hindus do it. Their peiest it there present when the body goes into the cremator. They have a last rites after death which is done then. Otherwise it's sort of base because its just secular guys in black clothes pushing a coffin with the body in it into the cremator. No need for a coffin in my opinion, and no religious respect for the deceased is given by the dudes in black. Lets see if wecan improve that at least for us.

Thank you for your interest in our video. Different faith traditions have different practices that are grounded in the beliefs of the faith. There is beauty in the practices of the Catholic Church that are grounded in scripture and tradition. As we progress through future editions of Funeral Facts with Deacon Marc, we will explore further these practices and their grounding in the beliefs and truths of the Catholic faith.

In reality a buried body decomposes depending on humidity in 3-5 years. So much for the resurrection of the body.

Thank you for your interest in our video. As a ministry of the Catholic Church, we respect, honor, and adhere to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Yes, our hope is in Jesus Christ and His resurrection. Blessings! “Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26) “Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

Cremation is the saving of the DOLLAR. If they love Jesus, they follow Jesus Way. Ashes does not grow, DUST IS. where growth is also. SATAN THE DEVIL IS SHOWING THE CATHOLIC AND THE WORLD POPULATION HIS OPPOSITION "AGAINST GOD THE CREATOR." Satan and all his followers are the opposition AGAINST GOD. He is angry because he was thrown out from heaven.

"O Suffering Jesus, O Sorrowful Mary, We give you glory, thanks, and praise; O bless our works and guide our ways. - Amen." Sisters of Loretto archivist, Sister Eleanor Craig, explains, “Loretto’s devotion from 1812 forward has been to the Mother of Jesus in her sorrow over her son Jesus suffering. Today we might say our concerns focus on all women who sorrow over the sufferings of their children. The images of the Sorrowful Mother and Suffering Jesus have traditionally been displayed in every Loretto convent and school. The universal prayer of Loretto students and Sisters has been ‘O Suffering Jesus, O Sorrowful Mary, We give you glory, thanks, and praise; O bless our works and guide our ways.'"
