My FAVORITE way to catch catfish!

Mid-August I'm coming down to Chattanooga for 6-8 weeks of refractory work. We were there earlier this year too all my off time was spent shore fishing. Best I came up with was 8lb flathead. I might have to give you my money to put me on some real cats lol

I used to go down here with my uncles when I was a kid and we would fish off of the hand rail at the sidewalk. They would fix a rod with only a hook and worms on it then throw it out to where it would drift back into the 2nd hole while the water was running. I saw them catch a ton of catfish out of that hole like that.

That fish seemed a little upset! LOL!!

How deep is it in those holes. Also what is the depth from the holes to the train trusses right down from those holes? Also I have a 14ft Jon boat with a 15hp outboard would you trust it to run up to the holes. Most every time I'm there they have 2 turbines running. It's a small boat should I try to run up to the hole and drift back?
