I'm happy I found this video. As a teenager with ADD it's been really hard for me. My friends usually think i'm weird. It's so hard to focus in classes and I get distracted to easily. And when I didn't know what my friends just said I ask what they were talking about and they just go "oh nothing." Many people think i'm annoying because I ask something and then I just ask it again. I just can't help it. I can never sit without doing something else. I usually just do random stuff with my fingers. Sometimes my friends are talking about something and I just always wanna join in and know what they're talking about. I don't mean to be annoying like I have to know everything but that's just me. People might explain me a thing many times and I don't understand it, but when someone else tells me it I understand. In class I don't always hear what my teacher says. It's like watching 10 tvs at the same time. I have so much to think about and when I get distracted, I can hear nothing. It's also really hard to study. I read something and right after i'm like "What did I just read?.." and then i'll just read it again. I've always wanted to be normal and that people would accept me the way I am. I've realised that I get really well along with people who also have ADD, ADHD, autism etc. I'm still so happy to see people in the comments who also have ADD. It makes me feel better and I don't feel left out. I just wish more people would understand what it is like to have ADD.

Depression can affect a person's sleep, appetite, energy levels, and overall quality of life. It is important to seek professional help if you are experiencing symptoms of depression, as there are various treatments available, including therapy and medication. Remember, you are not alone, and there is hope for a better life with depression.

100% agree I used to have Psychosis and paranoid thoughts like "people thinking about me talking about me etc. Very odd behavior after getting off Adderall from 7-16. Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

I’m excited that at work I’ll finally be able to remember my task or the measurements for the cad file that I need to change. I hate finishing peoples sentences or interrupting others. I hate going to my room to look for something and by the time I get there I forgot what I was getting. I love to tinker with electronics and 3d printing. I 3d printed an awesome bmw car shell and build the chassis and everything but it’s been two years almost and I still have a few finishing touches that I can’t get myself to finish. When I finally feel like I’m close to finishing a project I lose all interest and motivation :( . And man Amazon loves my impulsive spending

I had rtms by Dr. Downar. It didn’t work for me. I then tried ketamine prescribed by Jonathan, which I could not tolerate due to vomiting. I got it prescribed in liquid then pill form. It didn’t do anything for my suicidal depression. I wonder why I didn’t get prescribed something for the extreme nausea/vomiting it causes; swallowing my own vomiting repeatedly was certainly unpleasant. My reflection was that it makes you need to urinate and vomit at the exact same time and you can only choose one. I chose urinating and swallowing my own vomit. It was insanely unprofessional but as was the entirety of the six years I was overseen at Toronto Western Hospital, which culminated in a heart attack brought on by psychiatric meds practically maxed out on my 120lb frame. He’s a fraud as are the rest employed there.

This world's system is bullying us all. We arent made for 9/5 9/7 jobs and monthly payments. It feels like a prison life. We are made for constant discovery, spreading the information or creation without hassle and moving on to the next task continuously. We are the people of randomness, who wants to give to the world and deserve receiving back but not like sticking to one regimen only. Thats not an illness, thats a variation of being..which cant stand boredom of strict systems. modern day's systems dont make sense to us and thus, we cant offer much and cant receive back from world. Thats crazy.

Rick and Patrick = heroes, lifesavers. I don't know why they don't have top medals from their government - some medal of freedom or whatever. It took real effort, real caring about others no matter what anyone thought of them to do what they did - come forward to the world about this. That program literally changed my life. KNOWING is power, knowledge is power. You can't fix it, but knowing the why or how of something gives you at least some power over it. Asking for help takes guts. Rick gave me great power. Fixed? No. And in my case, even some of the highest doses of things only do so much (diagnosed with severe ADHD by a neuro-psychologist (or however it's spelled). Severe. All involved said "I have NO doubt you have........" Couple it with what I've come to call the "Sheldon Cooper syndrome" where you have zero patience for those who can't keep up or who can't see what I see or know what I know (due to high IQ according to school psychologist) and you have a double-whammy. Even without ADHD, I'd have no social skills and would be impatient with those who can't figure something out. Add severe ADHD and you are at the end of your rope - then you see their program on PBS and suddenly............ now I know and have tools and can ask for help with things.

I want so much to understand why my life has turned out so badly, compared to what I wanted. I'm a smart man. I did well in school all the way to Grade 13. I was at the top of my class in accounting in college. But I struggled to get through university, and graduated with just enough of an average to get an Honours BA degree. My memory sucks. The quality of my work sucked before the Covid shutdown. And from my earliest memories, I have felt like I am just a spectator in my own life.

I was diagnosed with ADD 15 years ago as a teenager. But I never saw it as a disadvantage. For example when I enter a room I've seen everything, even the colour of the ceiling, missing the main subject cause there are a shitload of new impulses and everything is more interesting than the thing you have to do. You know 'normal' people don't have this, use it in your advantage, and focus exists if the subject is interesting enough.
