simply buy car radio removal kit. Dont look for this exact model, buy full set for all radios and there will be one you need. They are cheap

Hi, good question. Well in my personal opinion Japan frequency been used only for local market or local cars (not for export). Other times Japan radios uses wide rage frequency such as 87.5 - 108 MHz which works worldwide and also in Japan. So if makers have in mind that this or that radio will be sold worldwide than they use 87.5 - 108 MHz.

Hi, we use internal BT which requires the knowledge of an electrician. But for these more modern radios you can buy BT plug n play module for very cheap on ebay. They uses CD changer connector, so instead of having changer you will activate BT. If you want to have CD changer and BT than its a bit more complicated :)

Sounds easy :) all radios are different especially more modern ones from late 80s, 90s. Sometimes we spend hours on single radio only to figure out how to active BT and all radios are different. You take one Alpine, spend hours to find solution, than take another Alpine from same year and its made completely different inside and same story repeats again :) so ye, sounds easy and it does sometimes with very old radios from 60s-70s but most of the time its a headache ;)

Hi, this is one color radio. There are many different names on SQR-49 model. Some of them are green, other orange. Or radio electrician can change all backlight bulbs to any color you want ;)

Hi, never seen this exact model in orange and also this one is 24V which is no good for w124. But there are many modern Mercedes radios in orange like from w210 and you can buy bluetooth adapter for them or we can retrofit bluetooth for you.

@@Balticretrofit what would recommend then? I find Blaupunkt bremen and frankfurt too expensive, but they have the best look for a modern radio, an original becker from a w210 would be nice even if is only a BT module plugged in on the cd changer plug. I just want original looking radio with modern features
