What Happened to King Charles I?
Episode 50 - You probably know that our current King Charles III does not have absolute power. In fact, his job is largely ceremonial. But that was far from true for the first King Charles in the 17th century. His run-in with the people of his time redefined how his country was governed in ways we still live with today.

bet ya may not be familiar with this thr interesting thing about the English civil war was that it also affected celebrations for ecample people always celebrated christmas🎄but after the monarchy was over thrown cromell with his puritain faction made christmas illegal even anyone in thr north american british colonies who celebrated it was charged 5 shillings it was after cromwell was overthroen that the celebration of dhridtmas 🎄returned also furing cromells reign jews who where kicked out of england in 1290 also returned as well
We actually did have this in the original cut but I think we cut it for time 😂 Cromwell cancelling Christmas is the height of Bah Humbug!
This young adult is… ULYSSES S GRANT! You guys are good!
Hitler died in 1945
He did - in April as well! It’s kind of strange because this kid is actually the guy who was President through most of WW2, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
It is Ulysses s. Grant
Grant
Unconditional Surrender Grant
Grant got a speeding ticket for going too fast on his horse one time.
Goated.
Looks like Hugh Jackson
Grant was a traitor
That’s an interesting take 😂
Grant
Everyone loves a president with a DUI
A horse & buggy DUI. He did like a drink 😂
Trump Sr
U.S. Grant
I mean was he a good general though his tactic was literally to just attack and go around he was a human meat grinder
Robert E Lee’s casualty rate was higher than Grant’s.
Grant at West point
Ulysses Grant Look at his face
You are handsome & articulate. You will go very far! Good luck on your channel.
Thanks!
Gen. U.S. Grant
shoot i was going to type S Grant but someone beat me to it dang

That year was when my life first changed 😔🌹💐,at the end of that year, but thanks though for the info ,on this i bet some of the tensions there also go back to religious strife Catholics vs prodestants there where alot of friction there between those sects of christianity also in ireland as well
In school, the troubles were glossed over here in the USA, and was painted as a black and white religious conflict. Thankfully my dad came from there so he told us many of the parts that school left out. Since then, I’ve been lucky to go several times and I always recommend NI to anyone going to that part of Europe
thank you that war dragged on with over 600,000 dlan, even abe lincoln waa glad it was pver the south was very racist at thr time and they where doing there best to maintain slavery, but this war and william T Shermans march into georgia ,these wvents finaly made the south surrendee iv heard before this war erupted there also was ☀️🌑a solar eclipsr il research it further

the 2 wwr to have been a extension of the first one but in a much more devating eeffect, its good though that president Harry did this to help europe to recover after the mess hitler created
yeah world war 2 was a serious mess causing more life loss in a massive degree compared to the previous war especialy the Nazi empire our the Third Reich who slew so many european jews slavs poles jehovah witnessez gays dissidants who refuse to obey the Nazis the list goes on ,theres Ai video on youtube where you can hear hitler speaking in english which i believe he did you can check it out at times in the speech 🤭hope its no offrnce to find it a little funny ,as i sympathize with many who are nazisurvivors ,this audio though makes hitler sound like hes well 😏il say soneone il hear possibly on the bbc rafio news our podcast quarriling with everyone you can check it out
They say constantinoples walls 🧱where super built with towers and guards that to penetrate those walls was virtualy impossible i heard Attila the Hun trief but had to give up the siege emperor justinian fortified the walls even more they say constantinople fell thanks to a new weapon the turls had gun powder and the cannon💣💥thats how sultan memet 11 took the city in 1453 changing its name to istanbul

I’m sorry you are missing your dad 💔 It sounds like your grandpa had a great sense of humor 🤣
I just stumbled on this video. And I saw some others. Good on ya. I'm not saying you should shut off comments, but beware of trolls. In this day in age 'certain people' will make no distinction of who's telling history. Especially if its history some folks want 'others' to forget so they can drag us back into the past! Stay strong and open minded! Good Luck!
Thank you! The trolls are definitely funny… I wish I could forward their comments to their mamas 😂 but if they want those views to be their official public opinion, then who am I to stop them 🤣
Women should be able to do those things, but not vote. The 19th amendment is really not working out if you have any sense of economic literacy or statistical acumen.
Well, that’s a take… I didn’t realize there were legitimate 19th Amendment haters out there 😂
All they have to do is stop cooperating and compromising.
And why was that, junior? Because MEN were responsible for all the debt incurred by his wife. No big deal? Credit card debt currently pegs at $3.5 TRILLION. WOMEN hold 2/3 of that debt.
I’m not sure what point you are trying to make here - but clearly you think you have one 😂
@AKidExplainsHistory maybe you're not old enough or bright enough to understand the *history* of debt. Men held and still hold the top spots of jobs that make all this happy stuff work. Women want to be "equal" to men? They're not and never will be. Women want to be "equal" in white collar corporate or retail jobs in nice air conditioned offices. The stats bear that out. The three top engines wear Women acquire money is in retail, government and divorce. In back breaking blue collar work, women are represented by 6% or less in construction, oil drilling, mining, infrastructure, welding, etc. So if Women want to be "equal" to men then why aren't they in those higher paying, dangerous and dirty jobs? Because they are weak. Literally. They lack the physical strength to manipulate the tools and the environments in those fields but somehow believe that they should be paid an equal amount as say, being the manager of Chipotle's. What's happened since the 1970s is that *corporations* AND *government* required a new class of *consumers* to fatten their bottom line and new *taxpayers* so they could grow government. Women were easily swayed into this nonsense because they're easily manipulated by bright and shiny things. It's not about your pithy attempt to simp your way into the ladies' favor by inferring some evil intention by men to keep women down. It's about business and government looking for more money for themselves. Are women happier because they can make more money, have their own debt with the safety net of government welfare and alimony? No...women are the vast majority of anti-depressant users. Alcoholism and drug use has spiked among women since they became "equal" to men. Epidemiology studies from here and abroad show that women are unhappier than they have ever been. Has the point been made yet? Maybe try books without crayons next time.
Ah, so your point is that men know what’s best for women? Well, that’s certainly a take. I mean I could highlight how you seem to be cherry-picking arguments from a really toxic, misogynistic point of view but nah… you’re allowed your opinion. You should forward your yap sesh to the women in your life to get their thoughts on it 😂
thanks mr Q👍il be on the look out for this one i dont know if youll do a video 🏳️🌈on this topic,it has been very controversal especialy in recent decades ,the interesting thing is when you go into history 🏳️🌈they where plenty of people who where dealing with this🏳️🌈topisome famous people for example even the guy who gave usour modern bible📖and this may shock some kijames of england and scotland🇬🇧and many others in antiquity it seens also have not to been so frowned upon as it has been in todays era ,to me it seems people are gradualy returning to a tolerant view🏳️🌈on it as it ancient times 🗡⚔they where even warriors who fought together in battle who had intimacy with there fellow comrade in arms ⚔in the ancient greek city of thebes for example they where the famous sacred band a pair of 300 men who even defeated the famous spartans several times in battle and freed lower greece from spartas influence philip of macedon the father of alexander the freat so admired there courage in battle that after they where defeated in battle by his greco macedonian forces in 338bc he erected a lion🦁as a memorial to where they fell 🦁the lion still stands today after more than 2000 years
sorry some of my words in my last message had a few errors but my phone screen needs repairing👍
We mention Alexander’s boyfriend in our video on him! We are cooking something up for Pride Month in June 😊
