Can-Am Spyder Safety Lights by Jim Potts Motor Group
This customer brought his wife's Can-Am Spyder in to us for some general work. While it was here, he mentioned that he wanted to add some lighting to make it safer on the road. After discussing a few different options he decided to go with our Safety Light System. This system installs additional brake lights and turn indicators around the bike. In addition to the standard mirror/fender/rear lights that you see all over the place, our Safety Light System adds on the installation of LEDs around the bike and ties that all together with the turn signals and brake lights to make sure nobody can miss this bike when it's out on the road, especially at night!

Here is a 2024 Can-Am Defender that we changed body panels on, installed large side mirrors, and installed a turn signal/horn kit. We take the extra time to make the turn stalk fit the steering shaft and cut the housing to make it look factory. Any questions? If its pulls slightly to the right are you supposed to to turn the adjuster clockwise or coumterclockwise ? Thank you for helping me finally find the alignment Adjuster 🙂

What did you mount the fuse box too? Did you use the existing bracket?
No, it is zip tied down below the handle housing.
thanks for the video. i was in the middle of putting mine in and had the same issue.
I am in the middle of installing mine just for piece of mind. i have had batteries go bad over night and do not want to be stuck without a back up start other than the old wrap the rope around the clutch and pray for a start.
how common is it for customers to request the pull start? moreover how likely is it the cord start is ever needed on the thousands of gen 4 sleds that are out there with good battery maintenance ? (Is is REALLY worth having)
We don't see a lot of customer requesting this and would say many people don't need it. Many customers that have been riding for a long time just aren't comfortable without a pull start though so there are definitely people out there that find this worth having.
Question would this cause coolant to get into my oil. I went to do oil change found it milky. Pulled plugs all is well. Engine fires up rins fine no smoke or anything

How many turns/revolutions of the steering rod under there, are needed to make any slight movement in correcting a steering issue ??
Hi Steven, of course this answer depends on how out of alignment the jet is. Many times it's just a little out and one turn will do it. There is a spot on the jet to put an alignment pin and then you can just turn until the steering looks straight.
I can't find the spot on the spark 😢 for the alignment hole. I just did it by sight...it worked good but did take a looot of adjustment. And now it feels tight makes some noise.
Dam someone must of dogged the hell out of that bike to already get rid of it with all those upgrades
How do you add oil to the shaft? And did you do just the rear one?
Removed yoke, drilled and tapped hole, filled with oil, installed plug with loctite to seal it all up. Yep, just the rear.

I have a 2022 bought in January. Made that sound the day I picked it up. Just got it back from the dealer today. They told me it’s the worst one they’ve seen. They did all the recommended fixes and the sound didn’t lessen at all. They told me sorry nothing else they can do and sent me on my way. $24k for that thing and I can’t drive it without it sounding like it’s gonna explode.

How was mass added to the driveshaft? And will brp/can am dealer be doing this if vehicle is under warranty?
Mass was added via filling the driveshaft with oil. BRP has since come out with a new driveshaft so it is not clear whether a repair like this will be covered under warranty any more.
New shaft doesn't work. Ask me how I know.
Bummer. Our customer was very satisfied with our oil filled shaft.
