It happened on I-40 near Pellissippi and someone was killed, car slowed down for traffic with the boat and was rear-ended.

There doesn't even need to be an accident for a traffic backup in Knoxville. Maybe the sun gets in someone's eyes, or a car on the shoulder,.. somone will go 15mph in a 70 and then there will be a big crash. If it rains pack a lunch, there will be a backup.

Well maybe if people did the speed limit and not ride MFS ass this wouldn't happen this isn't Atlanta

Shiiiit was born and bred here, my friends the roadways are getting waaay more treacherous as we have ALOT of people moving to the area and roadways are struggling at capacity because our city government had no idea our numbers would grow so fast so quick!!

It’s hilarious how locals blame tourists but being from here I can confirm the locals are the worst part of the traffic. slow old people in the left lane because they can’t grasp the concept that it’s a passing lane (and they go at just the speed limit), scared to merge onto highways so we have backups on the on ramps, or people just going the same speed as others in the lane next to them. the truth of the matter is people from knoxville can’t drive but it’s everyone else’s fault. i’ve never driven somewhere where people are so oblivious to how poorly they drive, yet they point the finger at tourists. number one reason driving here will never improve because nobody thinks their shit stinks

One day after work, I decided to count how many tags weren’t TN tags, and this is at rush hour in Knoxville on the interstate, so just imagine I passed about 5k cars in that hour (exaggerating, maybe), and I’d say only 100 were TN tags smh 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I think it was spring break.

I've lived in Knoxville for 40 years, the interstates have always been a nightmare!
