This will forever be a song that makes me think of my recently passed dad. And how he would want me to look for the bright side. I miss the man so much.
This has been the theme tune for our lottery advert on TV for years. It played during the last two weeks of my partner's life as he finally succumbed to leukaemia. When I hear it, it brings me right back to those last few weeks. My partner wanted to live. But life couldn't sustain him, he was too racked with the cancer. The dichotomy in the context of both the lotto and his leukaemia are encapsulated heart achingly in this song. My partner wanted to live but couldn't. He did live in moments and those moments were better than any bloody lottery win.
