this is a video on how and what you need to do a ma020 narrow to 98mm wide build so you can use the wmm shell parts list MDW100 dws kit MDW100-07 rear long suspension arms MDW100-04 spur gear set MDW205 extension blocks MD205 long universal swing shafts x2 sets MD203 front upper bulk cover MD202 lower base plate if you do fancy having a go at this build you will be able to find all these parts ...

As long as they don't rub, sure why not.
i did this upgrade and the rear shock does not function properly... any advice? it is compressed all the way, i use an oil shock from kyosho
i have the same xrx and the green xrx the first one is better i really want a drift art now though the second xrx im not to happy with

Hi - thank you for the informative video. I’m new to mini z’s and recently bought an MR 020 Awd for drifting. Do you know why the front wheel is narrow and the rear is wide for drifting? If they were the same width, It would make it a lot easier to shop for wheels and tires :). Thanks
If they have wide wheels on the back it only to suit the wide of the bodyshell . Look for an and narrow x narrow body shell then you can run all the same wheels

Nor really as long as its the awd. It will drift better with all wheels being the same size and a gyro helps alot to learn

Hello I'm new beginner mini z awd ma 020 what wheels and tire more grip with hardwood floor I try to order awd multi offset ..I can't pick tires. Just home racing play. Just drives straight and round come back. Maybe I order wrong . Next time I'll buy rwd ...Thanks and much love for videos.. Can we put a rwd body to an awd chassis, like 787b
Depends on the body is a maclaren body is to low on the front and hits the chassis
I don't think the 787b would fit and if you did get it on the 787b wheels won't work as you need awd wheels so you would have to find the right offset awd wheels

What does "shaw" mean in reference to the tyres please? (BTW, bought my AWD from Kyosho Spares the other day - top company!)
The lower the shore the softer the tyre hope this helps

The rear struts go to the outter of the trail arm not inside it
The amount of modifications you have to make to xrx out of box is actually kinda ridiculous
I don't rate the car at all any more due to all the problems it has

I just fitted it quick for the video as you can see it has no shocks
What wheels and tires do u recommend for the xrx mini
I use to buy the multi offset awd packs from kyosho as they all come white so you can paint them any colour and have many options of of set

Hello, I have an awd MA-020 I want radials and don't know what to buy can you help me ??my shell is the Challenger SRT Hellcat...
So it's the awd . Are the wheel all the same thickness or are the backs wider .
@@adamsrcs7205 thank you for responding & yes the back wheels are wider than the front.. The ones that came with the car seem plastic all one piece
The tyres I found the best are the mini z 20 shore radial tyres . You can get hold of the narrow and wide radial tyres off eBay . I hope this helps . I would buy a set of narrows and a set of wide and that way you will have a spare set . I found when running radial tires I use a bit of double sided tape to stop them from slipping of the rims . Plus that way it won't ruin your wheels by gluing them
@@adamsrcs7205 I really appreciate your help but do I need rims as well I don't understand which kind cause of the offsets ,I don't think I can add tyres to my wheels
To set Epa on gyro push and hold button in on gyro while turning esc on it enters a program mode let go of button turn and hold wheels left press button once turn right press button once again and hold wheel right until initialized you will see wheel twitch and then stop that’s when it’s done hopefully this helps someone!
You know how to make the rwd mini z drift i have the same wheels and the gyro but i dont know what motor i need or what but it still has issues im new to rwd miniz normally play with 1/10 so need some help with the little guy thanks and great video
You will find it very hard to drift a red mini z as they are not designed for it and have bad steering angle . Really if you want to do red drifting you need a glracing gld for a xrx
And how do I remove the tires
They should just pull off unless they are glued which they shouldn't be
Question for you, the xrx body, is that just a stock mini-z body? Or was there some modifications?
It is a hrc r35 liberty walk body mate . You have to build and paint it yourself . Very good body
Highly recommend the front aluminium bulkhead upgrade for GLD. It'll take this car to new heights.

Good video. I need 1mm offset narrows. It’s a bit hard finding them
I'm sure you can buy a multi pack from kyoshospares on ebay that come with all the sizes if that helps
Also do you think it would be possible to use extension blocks on this and make into 98mm
You Don need extension blocks on the evo mate the chassis allows for 98mm as a standard fit but you can only use the dws at a 98mm wheelbase. You can't use the dws if you want to use 94 mm due to the radio chip location

Aye I was to buy one id probably say GLD too .. I swear Gee said the front end on the Xrx is a little twitchy from time to time and requires more skill to run Definitely Gld though as I'd love a 90mm for an Rx-7 .. one day lmao

I guess I found time 😹 & great accent btw, for some reason British voices are so easy for me to listen to. Solid video & great tip on the steering rack holder thingy. My steering has a bit of slop in it too, I’ll have to tear it apart & take another look in there. I’ll have to check out the video on bodies later
