We Dyno the Impala (It Doesn't Go Well)
First 🖥 🎉.... Trim tabs👍 It will be good to see your experiments with the trim tabs and porpoising.
What do you prefer? LT1 or 350 vortic?
I prefer the LT1, if you are leaving the engine stock the LT1 makes more power and gets very good fuel economy.
@@lean-tocustoms7910in LT1@@lean-tocustoms7910
I just sent the same one back because it looked so ridiculous
😂😂
Looks Killer !!
sounds amazing
My grandpa and I used to catch trout at lake Tannycomo when I was a child. Good to see it again!
Hombre, I laugh because I can see EVERY one of your "catastrophes" happening to me! Hats off to you for daring to take on a unique project. LOVE IT!!
Wonder why only 18 mph ?
It was trimmed up to high and porpoising really bad.
@@lean-tocustoms7910 Gotcha, my airboat does that cause the botton 4ft from the transom isnt level
Your build is quite inspireing
@@paulmarshall3099 thank you
At least your driveshaft stayed in.
I'm doing this swap right now did the gto shifter fit right?
It didn't really fit that well, I ended up with a Hurst pro billet shifter and I cut the seat to make it fit.
That's where I'm at with it I'm doing it in a 79 malibu and wanted to leave the bench seat I was gonna cut and angle my shifter how your did yours I just figured I'd check to see if you found a way or if fabbing is the best option. Love the vieos BTW thanks to you I found sickspeed Monte haha
Did you use the part that you made along with the pro billet shifter or did you buy the whole kit I'm sorry for the questions I'm just tryna find other people that have done this I'm debating on cutting mine or ordering the complete shifter
@@gagecogar4539 I bought the whole kit. It was kinda pricey but was well worth it. It shifts really nice.
@lean-tocustoms7910 if it's the one for around $400 bucks after seeing your videos if it shifts good for you I'm gonna go ahead and order it now I really appreciate your help and your videos it helped me a lot man
Sick truck
I know this is a old video but the bearing is about 28 dollars did my daughter car took me about a hr it helps putting the bearing in the freezer go ft in just little tapping
what epoxy/resin sealants did you use?
I used 3m 5200
We don't need no stinking pilot holes. Lol
You make that interior upholstery work look easy, also hilarious pointer finger
Thanks, I'm glad you noticed the finger.
Looks great man! Just watched the rest of the videos from this build earlier to get some ideas for my own boat.
Thanks
Looking good man!
What’s the weight capacity on that boat? I’m building one very similar
Not sure exactly. Hopefully less than it weighs lol.
Now, that is a fishing boat. Rod holders, cup holders, cooler, and shallow water drive system👍
Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.
"0-60 in 2.2" ahould be the clickbait title for a youtube short
I have a 95 firebird lt1 t56 im just over here day dreaming of how much fun they could be in an el Camino let me CZcams they. I bet someone’s done it and here we are! My man!
Switch to an automatic More consistent.
Not as fun though.
Is it the first time racing the elky?
Yes, was just curious what it would do.
Bro can you help me out with the switch connection I'm working on my Jet boat project but got confused how can I get Start the engine
So fast!!
you wimp!!! I could have squeezed it with 2 fingers..... whats the weight limit on that boat, looks like 1000 lbs of wood , metal , and motor.
Next time I'll try to get my super manly uncle to show me how it's done.
That's what I'm talkin about. @@lean-tocustoms7910
Love the jet jon content!!
Looking great man can’t wait to build myself one too
They are a lot of fun
@@lean-tocustoms7910 hard part is finding a good boat and motor
How much would this type of project cost for a shop or fab guy to do? To put in the frame rails and rear frame?
Just curious how you titled your boat in Missouri? I’m building one now in Missouri myself
It's just titled as the original boat, I haven't had any trouble so far. (Knocks on wood)
@@lean-tocustoms7910 gotcha I bought a 12’ from Kansas and just have a bill of sale so my fingers are crossed
Some people sure know how to destroy fine vintage automobiles. So sad what modernism does.
You'd have to talk to the guy that grenaded the original straight 8 engine about that.
Thanks for the video I will try lift to remove the screw from a 2015 model
Its really coming together
I thought you might say that.
Looking good!!!!! I start on wiring this week with mine
thanks. put the video on - .25 playback from 6:30 to 7:30, great fun.
coming along great bro cant wait to see the finished product
What is the brand of aluminum welder is that?
It's a Vulcan multi-process from harbor freight with their spool gun
Hope them ramps didn’t scar the rockers.
They didn't hurt the rockers, the frame is the same level or a little lower, so it took the hit. Lol
Been waiting on this. Any plans on re installing the turbos?
He has been going back and forth about putting them back on, as of now he just wants to drive it.
Where did the turbo setup go?
Hell yeah brother
I should have done this instead of the v6 swap. That was a nightmare.
The V8 fits the same as a V6 (assuming you mean 90 degree V6) just a tighter fit between the radiator and water pump
I have a 51 Super that I'm planning to do a LS1 twin turbo swap. I've been looking for someone who has done a swap like this and here you are. The front end and rear end are the biggest question marks for me. Thanks for all the info. I'd also like to put mine on air bags too.
Get the gelcoat off. Fiberglass resins won't stick well to gel.
How much mpg would an engine like that get?
Not very good, probably 12 or 14
"Go fast boat gets its go slow motor" great shallow water boat project 👍.
Love the project bro!!!!! I’ll be starting one soon
Was there rubber tape on the backs of the metal window "tracks", used to seal the metal "tracks" to the body sheet metal? If so , did you replace that, and with what material?
Thing looks like a blast man I want to build one now 😂
Thank god for a scroll bar to get through this video
I appreciate your feedback, very helpful.
