I love the mismatched buttons, they give your Marlo sparkle
I love both cardigans! The animal one is adorable.
I love the Malo pattern. I'm a UK size 10 but I sized down in the pattern, I made a size 2. I alfso added 2" to the length. Im 5'5" for reference. I still managed to make it from 1 metre of fabric, not 8ncluding my ribbing. I love your Marlo, the fabric is gorgeous.
Thank you. Yes it can be made with much less fabric, adding a rib in a different material also helps. ☺
The buttons look great, don’t change them! I agree patterned toppers are hard to combine with other items, so I can see why you’re hesitant about it, but I love that print and colour personally 😊
Thank you Hayley☺
I love what you what you're wearing
Thank you so much☺
Hi Dianne, cardigan is lovely and I wouldn't have noticed buttons had you not pointed them out .. and they all looked the same to me😂😅 it just goes to show as long as the colours match.Looking forward to next video. Have a good week Dianne . Susan🌸🌻🌺
hi Susan, I always point out things that are wrong, maybe I shouldn't 😅Have a great week.
Ooh! I love that fabric - the aqua fleece with the darker blue dandelion seed. Do you know how I can find it on Minerva?
Hi there, I have just had a look and the link to the page is not there so maybe out of stock I have had the fabric a while. I made the other hoody about two years ago.
Did you alter the underarm Dianne? It's like you say a very nice cardigan and warm, so a nice item to use up scraps.
Hi Annette, yes i did alter the underarm. It is a wide arm piece so I pinched the pattern piece in at the center and made a little fold and this made it narrower, also made the body a tiny bit narrower and you can shape it a little as you sew the whole underarm and side seam in one. ☺
@@Dianne-ut5vr good tip, thanks 😊
I love your Marlos. I have the pattern but have been scared to make it because of the buttonholes 😬😬😬. Do you have a sewalong? I saw a video on your one with foxes but I can't remember if it was a sewalong. Thank you!
The sweater came out really cute! I have this pattern but haven't done it yet cause I was unsure about a fabric choice. Now that I know I can use a sweatshirt type of fabric I feel more confident
Hi Elizabeth, oh that is good I am glad it has inspired you, you will enjoy making it. ☺
Hiya! I would love to watch your fabric saving video for the Marlo but I can't seem to find it. Could you direct me? What sorts of fabric would you recommend for it. I love the style!
Hi, I will move the video over later I have noticed it was on my other channel. Any stable knit or sweather fabric, sweatshirting or french terry works too. Have fun, ☺
Love your Marlo cardigan. The extra length is good. I have suitable fabric and am looking for a cardigan pattern to make a couple for the colder weather.
Thank you Gillian, it is very practical so would be a good choice and also quick to make so if you need a few this is a good option. ☺
Hi Diana. That is a lovely make. I wonder if you added something from a color opposite this blue on the color wheel if it would warm it up a bit. You might like it better. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you
Hi Gayle, that is a good idea. That is why I tried the darker top with it as there is such a lot of space there in the middle, so yes I will have a look and try other colours with it. ☺
Love the Marlo. Your makes arr beautiful. Looking forward to the next video. Thank you 🎉
Thank you Bridget glad you like it. ☺
Hi Diane I like the cardigan I’m with you about the buttons I use odd ones as well Love your makes Diane xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Paula, yes it is good to use them up. ☺
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Like the blue patterned t shirt you’re wearing- what pattern is that?
Thank you it was originally a burda pattern but i have changed it quite a lot as it was wide necked and baggy so I took it apart and remade it. The fabric is called inky grove from Minerva.
Hi Dianne. Is it possible to have a video on how to place paper patten on material. I'm a visual learner so find it difficult to follow the instructions. X
Hi Jacqueline, yes I could do that is there any particular aspect of it that you finf tricky? ☺
I'm in love with your Roscoe dress. The Jewel toned double guaze is very striking. I'm now on the hunt for that fabric. I would love to see what the dress looks like without the belt too.
Hi Kathy, here is the link for the fabric www.minerva.com/mp/1/NT-03001-002-M I will try to rememeber to show it without the belt in a future video. ☺
Hi Dianne, the roscoe dress is beautiful and the colour suits you, it will be interesting to see how the black dress turns out,so something to look forward too. I have no real plans think about a lot of things but never get round to them🤣😂🤣 but I have been working on two quilts hand stitched for my eldest granddaughters one who has turned 18 and the other turns 18 in January 2025.and they have kept me plenty busy..Hope you have a good week. Susan🌻🌸🌼
Hi Susan, two quilts is a big job , I am sure your granddaughters will love them. Have a good week.
Dianne, what brand of apple and cinnamon tea do you buy and can you recommend it? Hope you don't mind me asking. Susan 🌸
That's a gorgeous colour you've used for your roscoe dress Dianne .😊
Hi Annette, yes I love this colour too☺
Well done they look fantastic.
Thank you☺
Can you do a mens tshirt and hoodie
Hi I have made a few men's hoodies and t shirts so I am sure I will be making more this winter so I will remember to film it . ☺
Amazing
Your makes are beautiful. I really love your tops and your fabric choices. I haven't tried any big 4 patterns, I usually go for indie patterns. I'm tempted to try that top 😆
Hi Elizabeth, yes give it a go it is really easy. ☺
Very pretty
Thank you☺
Dianne, I like those jeans. I have that pattern but haven't made them yet. I will now! Suzanne
Hi there, glad you are feeling inspired.☺
Love the jeans, they look great. X
Thank you☺
Well done Dianne, you’re ahead of the game already! I haven’t tried jeans yet, but soon 🤞🏻
Thank you Hayley, next on your list then😃
Interesting to see the lower pocket position. I like them higher myself so I don't sit on it if objects in back pocket
Hi, I never use my pockets they are purely decoration😀maybe the odd tissue but that is usually a distaster in the wash😂
Great colors for you
Thank you, I like autumn colours. ☺
Beautiful fit on your jeans 🙂
Thank you Karen☺
really cute makes altogether but those jeans especially!! So cute!
Thank you☺
Thank you for sharing your day. I love the cheerful fabric you're wearing...so sweet! I have my first meal around 11am...the second one is finished by 4 or 5pm. I have been eating low carb 2MAD for over four years and feel too well to ever change. We are in our last days of winter here in Australia...it has been very warm these past few days. Cheers everyone! 🐨
Hi, you do have a small window for eating but if it works then that is what is best for you. Thank you for watching. ☺
I've made that top a couple of times myself. I find it a really comfortable wear. I'm still a bit nervous to try making jeans yet, although I would like to do so. I'm busy still thinking about summer as we are travelling over the other side of the world for a couple of months during our winter, to visit family and I am expecting (at least hoping) it will be considerably warmer with their summer than ours has been, so although I agree it is getting cooler, I just can't get my head around what I should make for here before I go for our autumn. I've just a couple more things to make and then no doubt with the cooler south Yorkshire weather, I will be scrambling to make something warmer. Your top and jeans look great
Hi Sharon, that sounds exciting and great that you will actually get a bit of summer. I feel we have really missed out this year just a few very hot days then that was it, blink and you missed it. I do have a number of summer dresses that have not been worn much so I am easily slipping into the warmer makes ideas while at the same time hoping for more sun yet! Enjoy your travels. ☺
The top and the jeans both look great.
Thank you Gillian. ☺
Very pretty makes❤❤❤
Thank you Brenda☺
Hi. I really like the New Look tops you made. The fabric is very nice for both tops. Jeans look great too. Have a nice day.
Hi Rose, thank you☺
I really like the New Look top and both fabrics are lovely. You did a great job constructing the top and jeans!
Thank you☺
Lovely, lovely top the colours are really pretty I also like the jeans I think I have that pattern 🤔 you are getting well prepared a head of autumn which really all said and done is not that many weeks away ...where has the summer gone 😮 I'm still waiting for it😂😂😂. Looking forward to the next video thanks Dianne for sharing. Susan🌺🌼🌸... Oh love the top you have on.
Hi Susan, I know what summer? I don't think I have really sat out with a book this year as soon as I have had a minute the sun has gone in! Oh well embrace the seasons. The top is in inky grove viscose jersey and the pattern was a burda one but I have changed it a few times as it was too baggy. ☺
love the jeans!
Thank you Linda, I hope they keep well over the months. ☺
Love your makes. I've made the top , I really like it. The jeans turned out really well. Look forward to seeing your next autumn makes. Thank you 🎉
Hi Bridget, thank you the top is very simple isn't it. ☺
@Dianne-ut5vr Hi Dianne, yes, it is, but this allows you to fiddle with to alter it's look easily.
I’ve made and really like NL 6543. My goal is to make wearable pants this year. Very nice autumn outfit
Hi, good goal as it is all too easy to fall into the dresses making from all the patterns that are out there and go in your wardobe on a cool day and reach for the same jeans. I am trying to make more practical things sometimes but I still do love a dress. 😄
Hi Dianne, enjoyed seeing some of your day, makes for a more round insight if how your working day pans out. Susan🌼🌸🌺
Thank you Susan. ☺
Lovely video 👌🏼
thank you☺
My coat is lined but still too cold, do I need to take the original lining out? Or can I put new lining on top of it? I'm thinking of adding some fleece
If it is roomy enough you can add over the top of it. I would make your fleece toil then try it on with the coat, before stitching to the coat though as it will alter the fit. ☺
@@Dianne-ut5vr Ohh this really helps, thankyou!
Hi Dianne, thanks for sharing your day with us, I always enjoy seeing how other people spend their day. xx
Hi Michelle, thank you. I hope you are well. ☺
Dianne, what a lovely video. Super watch for me at the end of a busy day for me. Love it
Thank you Angela. ☺
Thank you Dianne ☺️ your dogs are gorgeous 🐶🐶 😍I also have two elderly dogs. One needs help lifting as she is a fifteen year old Jack Russell. It was lovely to see a snap shot of your day. X
Hi Amanda, oh snap as my jack Russel is fifteen, the jug is eight so he is a bit more lively. Have a good week. ☺
I liked seeing your dogs as our dog passed away last year and it still breaks my heart. On a happier note we are going to a holiday cottage near Hornsea tomorrow and hope the weather is good.
Hi, oh so sorry to hear about your dog it is very difficult, we did have three but out other Jack Russel recently passed away. I hope you enjy your holiday. ☺
Hello Dianne, Thank you for letting us into your private life, the countryside where you live looks very beautiful. I'm looking forward to your next sewing session. Suzanne Moloney
Hi suazanne thank you. ☺
