Royal Oak Farm A-Maze-N' Apples - Installing Trellis Posts

Here's a quick look at the process we use for setting the 12' trellis posts we will be using to create our A-Maze-N' Apples apple tree maze. In essence we will be using as Espalier planting system. Espalier is a method of training and pruning an apple tree, forcing it to grow on a free-standing trellis. For our apple tree maze we will be using a 6-wire trellis. Espalier originated in the Middle...

Our next phase, Phase 3, in our A-Maze-N' Apples apple tree maze is the installation of the 400 trellis posts, setting landscape fabric for grass and weed control in the tree row so we will not have to use any herbicide under the trees and pulling thousands of feet of trellis wire. We will be using a six wire espalier trellis system that we will be attaching the branches (feathers) of the apple...

Modification of John Deere 7000 No-Till Planter for Pumpkins
Very cool video. I just watched it in the Apple group on f/b that you posted too. My daughter has Honeybees and we are wanting to plant fruit trees as well for her honeybees. THANK YOU for posting to the group. I liked and subscribed and hit the bell. Look foward to learning all I can
What is your gear setting?
Wow nice donuts😉
What is age of these wooden poles?
Awesome Dennis LOVED it !
I have been having very bad results with my JD 7000 planting pumpkins. Should I buy a new seed meter? Thanks
What sprocket setting you using?
Ok
Do you use cover crops too?
So, I have a 7000 planter. On mine, I have another gear on it to dramatically space out the seed. If I have that, I wouldn't need to cut the fingers, right? Just going through why you'd cut the finger and my guess is that you intentionally want to skip so you get a greater spacing. I could accomplish this with gears. Right? Or, am I missing something?
Would a microwave seed sensor pickup pumpkin seed
Could you please make the audio available again (without that copyrighred material)?
Salomon, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The music was included background music in our Flip Video software and we therefore assumed that we had permission to use it since it was included as music to use for backgrounds. We had no idea of any copyright claim on it, but have entered a dispute with CZcams to resolve the situation.
Royal Oak Farm Orchard Thank you for such a quick response!
Btw, that's really an interesting orchard desing you've got there.
my name jeff
Great video! A great deal of people say that you cannot plant pumpkin seed with these planters, or any others for that matter and I have always knew it was possible. I will doing this trick to mine and then come back and comment how it worked out. Thanks again!
How does the maze look after a few years of growth?
how is the solid set spray system working out?
Hello Jasmine! The system is in the final phase of testing after the installation of completely new spray heads (emitters). We found we were not getting the desired coverage with the original spray heads for the system and , after testing at Michigan State, we received all new spray heads that have been installed and tested. With some final tweaks, the system is pretty much operable and ready to go!
Just wondering why you have 2 main lines that trenched in? Does each one go to it's own manifold? What size pipes are you using?
Love the video. Oh how amazing our CREATOR was when he designed the universe and ALL of its detail. Thank you Jesus.
