Exploring nature adventures. Rockhounding and rock tumbling, hiking, biking, and canoeing. I live in Wisconsin, but travel all over, looking for new places to go hiking and rock hounding. I spend most of my free time walking local beaches looking for fossils and other cool finds, hiking along the Ice Age Trail, or tumbling rocks.

Tumbling Wisconsin Moonstone - Update 1 #thefinders #teamrockit #Moonstone
This is an update on my Wisconsin moonstone that I am tumbling. These rocks have been in step 1. I am sorting through this batch of rocks as well as the other ones I took out of step 1 last week. I am looking for the best ones to continue tumbling onto the next steps. I have enough now to move on to the next step. I decided to add some tumbling media to help carry the grit and get them a little smoother. I will run them in Step 1 one more time using 60/90 silicon carbide grit for about 3-4 days. Then I will clean them off, rinse the buckets good. Then, move on to Step 2, where I will run them in 120/220 grit for 5 days. And then in 220 grit for 5 more days. Which will then be followed up with my next video.

@user-kx9bh4sh8v Hello, Arlene! Yep, the moonstone here in Wisconsin is unique. I've only seen it at Gem and Mineral shows in the Milwaukee area before I collected some myself. @@GREEKEXPLORERS Thank you very much for watching. Have a great Sunday, my friend đ
Those are looking great ! I remember the video of you finding them. You found quite a bit I see :) I was hoping you would do a rock tumbling video of them. I can't wait to see how they turn out. Have a great Sundayđ
@upnorthadventureswithccc Hello, Cherry! I am finally getting around to tumbling some of the material I found. I had already polished a piece on my flat lap that I made into a pendant. I may show it at the end with the others that are polished for comparison. I can't wait until these are done! Thanks for watching. Happy Sunday đ
â@outdooradventureswithfayde6832 Oh my, these are choice pieces. Looking forward to the next step. Thank you for the video!
At 7:10 your Illuminati triangle with the eye......I found one very the same there last week. Wish I could share a photo
@@michellemevans3123 That sounds very cool, I would like to have seen it đ There is an amazing amount of rock to go through that beach on a good day. Feel free to introduce yourself if you see me out there in the future. Take care and thanks for watching đ
