Life's A Mystery
Here's a new song: "Life's A Mystery"
A friend recently fixed my Stratocaster up a bit, so I wanted to play some jangly guitar parts.
I hope you can give it a listen🙂:

I remember the short-lived Klaatu/Beatles hype in '78. As a teenage Beatles fan it was fun to think about!

John and Paul play a similar piano riff in "The Long And Winding Road" and "How?", so I thought I would try and blend them together.

"GIRL DON'T SAY" an early Beatles type of song.
zhlédnutí 1,4KPřed 5 měsíci
I thought I'd try to write an "Early Beatles" type song. "GIRL DON'T SAY" I made sure it: -was only about 2 minutes long -had a "stumble in" type Ringo fill -had some unique chord changes (BM-E7-A F#M-C-D-G for example) -had a jumpy melody -had a bit of vocal falsetto at some point -had handclaps -had cowbell -kept the drum hihat open -had a piano doing the lead break with the guitar -had a pro...

The Flight of Stairs at the Showboat

I guess I'm dating myself a bit, but remember the Showboat in Charlottetown? Remember the steep staircase going up to the main room? Here's a song about it, "The Flight of Stairs at the Showboat":
Cows At War - Psychedelic Beat
zhlédnutí 135Před 9 měsíci
Psychedelic Beat is a song from the long distance Cows At War collaboration (Mike Stratton -Ch'town, Dave Crockett-Ottawa, Mark Chatham-Halifax). We began "Psychedelic Beat" early this year as a trio, before our dear friend Mark succumbed to his long fight with cancer in the spring. Before he passed, Mark was able to contribute the verse guitar riff, and Dave and I have done our best to finish ...

Thank you, Mister Walrusz. A cool new and original track from one of the most creative sidemen George Harrison never had.
thanks so much Rael. Your comments mean a lot.
Well done. Thank you.
Yes, it has been. Don’t speak the secret, but they’ve been slapping everyone in the face with all the clues from the get go… Both sides
Great album
Absolutely love this album
@@lindasmith7177 thanks Linda!
Top sonic work
@@stanmenshic8993 thanks Stan!
buenísimo!!! acá un seguidor de argentina, un abrazo grande.
Hey thank you so much!!
May the peace and love of God enter into all human souls and remain within us forever; whether we be alive or dead, in joy or in sadness, in riches or in poverty, in health or in illness. Let us rejoice in exultation in God's great glory.
Oh babe what would you say, sounds like one of Pauls, musical hall songs.
Totally! Syrupy
f very bad song
George was so attractive ❤
La voce di George è migliorata molto. A fine anni 80 e anni 90 era molto bella. Negli anni 70 inascoltabile!!
Love the chanting of Dehra Dun. Thank goodness songs by Harrison like Dehra Dun and Old Browne Shoe can be enjoyed on their own merits. Maybe the Beatles should have made more albums.
Thank you! Perhaps I will write something from the 'conspiracy theory' series, but with a + sign!!! I can't quite believe that this is a 1970 recording, just like the Fear of Flying track. They are more sonically comparable to Somwhere in England 1981 or later. I would classify A Beatles dilemma - Nowhere to Go or Dehra Dun as 1970. And producer Phil Spector would certainly find a place on All Things Must Pass! :))
great musician #1 n my List. RIP !
Wonderfull Song!
i guess he ment Mother Kali maby, i took a book out of a christian shelf... don't get me wrong, that' s nothing of this lgbtq woke shit
Thank you for this great song and video. do you know where the clip with tom petty is from?
Thank you. I think that clip was from some promo session for the traveling wilburys. I just found it online can't remember where.
Yeah, no question. This is a keeper. Smart, effective, supportive of the vocal, and restrained. Well done. It's truly time for Dhani to seek out the very best of these youtube tributes, and give us an album of his fathers lost songs using ideas from arrangements such as this. Given an equal amount of subtlety and empathy for the songs, Dhani's versions could make for a smash album and truly launch his career as a performer.
Thanks
Lov😮song very beautiful
I can't figure out why George passed over this song or at least didn't work on it further.
Absolutely gorgeous tune Walrus. Your musical sensibilities are very much in line with mine. The combination of your sweet melody with your gentle vocals hits just right. Keep ‘em coming! 😊🎸🎹☮️👌
Thanks Judge. I really appreciate you giving my music listen and giving me such kind comments 🙏
@@walrusz - With all the crap on YT it’s a rare treat to discover great music!
Wonderfull! Great George Song!
Thanks Luigi
This is the best version I've heard. George was kindness, happiness, humour, intelligence and spirituality personified. Hari Om 🕉 Jaya Sri Krishna 🙏🏼 🌈 🕉
It wasn't on the white album , what a pity!
it is not. Nor technically neither melodically
You can't plagiarize 3 notes. Plagiarism is taking another song's melody and structure and incorporating it into another song.
George ♥️♥️♥️
That's Amazing 🤟
Billy boy still fooling everyone

Nice comparison. And I'd say Instant Karma is basically All you need is love but in 4/4 instead of 7/4
Great job at creating this early Beatle style , big like 👍 😊 Trevor
Hey thanks Trevor!
I Love George and miss him so much.... XXX
It’s a wonderful that you have captured this from the footage , can see this ending up as a nearly Beatle song big like 👍 😊 Trevor
Nice Walrus. I like it.😎🎸🎹

thanks judge! Appreciate it bud!

Another Awesome song by Walrusz. Good job
Thanks!
Not a bad attempt at a Beatles-ish tune... but if you want to hear a whole album full of excellent homages to Beatles songs, find a copy of 'Deface the Music' by Utopia... every song inspired by a particular tune by the Fab Four!
sounds ai
What the heck does that mean?
DUMMBASS
It sounds exactly like the beatles, but not the production and mix we're used to hearing..
I would need to read or listen to what the Principals of these two songs said first before rendering a final Judgment. There are only so many chords and beats, some are going to get used literally TRILLIONS of times, where does the plagarism accusations stop? This video reminds me of the George Harrison getting knocked down hard for "My Sweet Lord" by the Chiffons. Hopefully someone can get back to me.
Harrison's My Sweet Lord was VERY close to He's So Fine. I don't think Lennon could have been sued for the string section part of "Oh Babe"...just a little bit of , let's say... "inspiration".
Happy St Patrick day
