Jeśli mnie pamięć nie myli, zdobyła 3 złota w Meksyku, ale nie zdobyła go na równoważni. I to był skandal, który zadecydował o radykalnej zmianie zasad oceniania w gimnastyce żeńskiej. Bo złoto na równoważni zdobyła rosjanka, która demonstrowała wiczenie na poziomie trudności dostępnej dla14-latki. Układy prezentowane przez zawodniczki stały się jawnie nieporównywalne. Zrozumieli to wszyscy (także ruscy), i na kolejnej olimpiadzie Korbut mogła pokazać swój geniusz.

It depends on the criteria. If by great, you mean a gymnast that had it all, then it couldn't be Simone Biles. Simone has won by the largest margins and is the winningest gymnast of all time. She also has the most difficult moves ever done on vault, beam and floor. However, you can't say she has it all. She doesn't have the elegance, fluidity, artistry and other elements that are also important in gymnastics. I'd vote for Nadia in that regard. Nadia also was the first to ever score perfection in gymnastics. So we can say the gymnast who had the whole package was Nadia. Simone is the winningest gymnast with the hardest skills and greatest leads in competitions and is still dominating. Biles has dominated the most.. Oksana Chusovitina has the most longevity. There you have it.

If 30 years from now people still talk about Simone Biles as they do today about Nadia, then you can put her #1. For now, Nadia is the undisputed queen, she is the one who brought gymnastics to the spotlight and was the talk of the entire world. Sure, Biles is a better gymnast because of the improvements in equipment, training, diet, etc. You could argue the gymnasts from the past would have reached her level with the training she receives today. Even Simona Amânar's vault is something that would be impossible to today's gymnasts with the old vaulting horse.

Sorry but you got it wrong. Yes all of them are 100% outstanding athletes. But let's face it, Nadia Comaneci was, is and always will be Number 1. She pushed the limits of the sport and put it on the map. She was the inspiration of every single gymnast that followed.
