FINALLY FOUND THE SONG OF MY SUBCONCIENT! I knew it had to be with this game!

I don't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing that I played this and finished this while going through puberty

i like her, but i for some reason feel like her route was just... bad. the good ending of her route make me feel like i was unable to change anything but make her realize that i will stay with her from now on. That isn't a bad thing of course and is good even especially for someone like her to have someone who she can truly trust to have her side whenever she needed but it just feel... lacking. In Lilly route we saw how much she can grow if we take a different approach in taking care of her, in Lilly route we saw how she overcome her trauma and make friend on her own and even developed a kind of independence so that we can stay with Lilly without worring about her messing up or something. It show the real potential that Hanako have and could have reached but all we got on her route was that we accept her for who she is and we isn't just pitying her and we truly want to stay with her so she can rely on us more but isn't that almost the same relationship she have with Lillly before we came into the picture? we wasn't able to truly help her grow past her trauma nor help her being more outgoing or anything, we simply switch place with Lilly. I played Lilly route first before i do Hanako so after seeing how much Hanako was able to grow on her own in Lilly route, my expectation for Hanako was pretty much skyrocketed and i keep wondering that if that is how much she can grow alone, then just how much more she would be with our help? Yet all i got was being a replacement for Lilly spot, heck we even kinda rape her(this make me angry for like 20 minute straight when i was playing cuz why tf do you think having sex would solve the problem)

This music, everytime it plays it always makes me cry always makea me think of hanako. KS was my first VN and I'm glad it was, the memory I had with it was special. ❤️

It's amazing how I'm only discovering Katawa Shoujo now, almost a decade after most of these comments reminiscing over their first playthroughs. This game broke my heart, only to mend it with gold. Thank you - sincerely, from the bottom of my heart thank you - to the person in the comment section of a now-deleted video, who name-dropped the game after noticing it referenced in the thumbnail. Just reading that one comment made me curious enough to look up the game, see it'd released on steam, and download it. By just leaving that one comment, you ended up changing my perspective on a lot of things. Words can hardly describe how much KS has come to mean to me, -and how amazing Lilly is.- and the impact it's had on me. <3

I was the happiest man in the world, when i heard this song in hospital. And when she came in, my eyes started swimming in tears. I'll never forget this game. Never in my entire life

My History with this VN is interesting in that my brother first showed me it back in 2012 when I was still in HS. I never got to finish Hanako's Route back then due to playing it on his computer at the time. Only now do I find myself going back and playing this game do I realize just how much of an impression she left on me. Witnessing the ending firsthand felt like an old wound tore open and has me utterly destroyed over this girl.

This route broke me. I've never cried in front on any media as much as I have playing Emi's route...

This is the theme that always gets me. Emi was most peoples first but not by choice. Same goes for me. But. Something about that spunky strawberry blonde always made me say she was my choice. Not necessarily thee personality I would choose in real life, or the body type. But I think it was the fact she was so dedicated to making you get better. Making you her priority. And being so light hearted about things. I always had the split between Lilly and Emi. Lilly is the personality and type I would usually go for. But Emi just really captured my heart. Even if her ending is a little ambiguous about their relationship, it still felt nice. That's why this song give me a lump in my throat.

Finished the steam release today, went with Hanako cause she'll always be my favorite. I tell ya, when you open up that menu and this hits...it feels like you're coming home.

This track brings out some bittersweet emotions for me. At one and the same time, it really brings me back to those early years of innocence, puppy love, and stupid adventures with my friends, while also reminding me that it's been years since that time of my life came and went, and that I'm only getting further away from it with every passing day. It's a shame such a beautiful track should bring out such melancholy, but I guess the emotions just add to the listening experience. It just reminds me that I'm spending my 20's friendless, isolated from my peers, meeting the same peopl every day who I'd love to know and befriend, but never exchange words with - and that I'm just living in a fantasy world, playing VNs to make up for this. Where did those golden years go?

Pray for the people who got Kenji’s Ending first

Hanako after her panic attack and you felt powerless. The resistance to coddle was a bitter pill to swallow. Hanako wants to herself improve on her own. Her shutdown hurts to see.
