Why do these videos make me cry?

Hardly any African American is "just black." I mean if you're in the 70s to 90s African, yes you are strongly African, but I have seen blacks with deeper skin tones who are 17% or more Irish or some other part of European. Biracial blacks seem to start around being 35 to 50% African and the rest spread out over other ethnicities.

NOPE she is too light skinned to be truly black. even without watching for the results I can tell she has European ancestry. MOST BLACK PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL HAVE SOME EUROPEAN ANCESTRY, and will never be truly black. To be black being born in a nation who's major population is black would increase someone's chances. The US unfortunately is a melting pot of cultures so most people in the US have a mixture of ancestry.

Good video the older I get the more I see that Race is a social construct. People look the way they do cause of where there ancestors migrated to. Like for example Africa is a hot climate that's why Black people have dark skin. White people come from Europe a colder climate that's why there skin is pale. I come from mixed heritage African American and Arab descent. Culture and Languages is what separate people.

But without looking at your results I’m thinking 🤔 ...This girl has Asian genes and she probably doesn’t even know it.😂😂😂 But it’s very obvious to me as someone who travels all over the world. I would argue that her Asian genetics 🧬 are much more prominent than what the test is reflecting. It’s very clear in her eyes and face shape. As well as her teeth. Even though it’s quite possible you’ve worn braces or a retainer, but it’s the shape of her teeth. Although they don’t show it, many parts of Asia is compromised of Blackity Black Black Asian people with Afros. Once you get out of America, the world is very Black😉😁

As for the Guinean link, if you heard at a family reunion of your family having Guinean ancestry, they were more than likely speaking about the origin of a forefather or foremother on a direct lineage. Someone at the family reunion probably tested with the company African Ancestry aforehand that specializes in testing direct maternal and direct paternal lineages. These tests solely reveal the origin of female ancestor going up an unbroken line of mother to mother to mother etc or a male ancestor from father to father to father etcetera. The test you took with 23 and Me is far more comprehensive representing the random 50/50 each your parents dispersed unto you upon conception- I say that because we all inherit solely a random 50 percent of each of our parents genetic make ups upon conception according to geneticists. Congrats again!!!!! 😊 My Nigerian estimate was also in the 27 range, 27.9 with 23 and Me, and 31 percent with Ancestry DNA(Not a major difference).

I find it disrespectful to the ancestors to use “Black” or “White” when you could be specific. Black as an adjective could be used towards autochthonous people everywhere.

If Guinea is on your father's side, you will need another kind of test that tests patrilineal side. 23 and Me tests the matrilineal side.
