When Billy Fury passed away his record company overdubbed new backing on this vocal that was recorded in 1970. It was released as a single and instantly became a fan favourite. No video exist of Billy singing this song, but please enjoy this mock up with footage from January 1983.

I think it was Tony Read who said he was in the studio when Bill recorded this and the hairs stood up on the back of his neck. Billy was simply so unique.
He was , is the Best rock n' roll star the UK had ..... he was as good as Presley , Eddie Cochran & Buddy Holly !!!! RIP Billy

Hi Colin, Another great song by Billy. Every Sat. on radio 2 from 6.am- 8a.m Tony Blackburn plays song from the 6o,s This Sat. he will be concentrating on 1964 because that,s when he started out on Radio Caroline. So I,m hoping he plays Billy singing this song as it was in the hit parade in June 1964. Maureen x
What I really appreciate about these recordings and probably in front if a live audience ,it was pure talent and no bells and whistles if fancy entrance needed. I saw vid where was just stage with out a lot of moves it was great, believe it was tv appearance.

I have always been a 100% Billy Fury fan. He was a fantastic singer and a wonderful person. Nobody else ever came close to him. Truely the greatest singer of all time.
