Cut to loop AK DUO simple

This is the simpelest method to changing you machine from cut to loop. You deactivate the scissors by moving the part that makes the scissors cut. The scissors stay open this way and the machine wil create a loop effect. The extended method will give a more neat looking loop effect.

Hi, we stopped selling it because for the glow in the dark they add metal parts to the thread and this causes the scissors to wear out really fast. (like 15-20 minutes of tufting)

My AK-3 doesn't cut the yarn. Is there anybody knows how to solve it?

@@Tuftingshop Yes, properly installed. But instead of cutting,it is bending the yarn. And I got sharpened it in a professional store. I am wondering if there is a certain type of yarn for it. My yarns are acrylic, but I am not sure about the quality.
because of frictional resistance some parts heat up in the machine, the acrylic yarn could melt under the knife. also too soft yarns can be harders to cut. I advise to clean the machine and check if the same problem occurs with wool

I bought the AKIII after I tried for some time I understand now why this gun is not that popular. I have a terrible experience with this gun. It’s not meant for very detailed design. It wastes yarn like crazy. The AKI in my opinion is much better.

It would be great if your hand didn't get in the way at important moments, like around 1:55. It's pretty unclear and I think it would have been helpful to have had someone film you properly as this is part of your online user manual. You also didn't fully demonstrate the other way to make a bigger change to the depth of loop pile: instead of briefly mentioning it I would have appreciated seeing you actually do this. It all felt a bit vague and unclear.
I get how to thread it, but it would be great for future videos to make sure your hand or arm doesn't get in the way at the crucial moment, nor the text over the top of the image. I realise you must have done this for TikTok originally, but since this is part of your online user manual too it would be nice to have a clearer video without the distractions. Cheers!
