Hey thanks for the feedback and suggestions! Glad to hear I went down the right route with the proper PWM fans. It seemed to be the right step to take at the time and glad I did rather than mess with the adapters.

Thanks for watching! Yeah it definitely was a consideration that the ram was blocking the fans. I noticed this in some of the more "server" mobo style boards that took this into better consideration. The first fans I had didn't have PWM and only had 3 pin so there was no mobo control for the fan speed so that had to run at 100% unfortunately. Yeah the second converted setup was definitely the way to go with the new Mobo but you're right turned out more expensive. I'm glad I ended up going that route anyway in the end. Much cleaner / neater and end up learning a lot in the process. I've been monitoring the temps for the past month or so and they seem to be good with the two for now thankfully! I was poking around with SAS drives and it potentially might, good idea. The reason I went with 1U is because I was planning on converting my seperate NAS over to a 1U as well. With this, my top rack is completely full now. I have another rack underneath that is 4U, but the last 2U that I have available I already have a plan for, so was sort of restricted unless I swap out the racks and remount a bigger one, but I don't think I'll end up doing all that.

Yeah, I end up utilizing the Dynatron K2 later in the video which sounds like you’re describing. Just a personal server running some docker containers and home assistant and such.

Pretty much. You only see CPU coolers in 4U racks. And sometimes not even that. Just larger heatsinks and intake fans.

Thankfully the second CPU cooler I ended up installing, the Dynatron K2 is moreso specifically made for 1U cases. It blows out the side / rear of the heatsink since the top is covered and it all gets sucked out the back from the rear fans. Yeah definitely could have customized something like that. I noticed one or two things online I potentially could have bought then cut out. Some of the other 1U cases on Amazon also came with customizable I/O shields which I wish this one did! Fortunately the new mobo I got had an I/O shield that fit the case perfectly.

Hey there, sorry for the delay. Right now I’m powering each pair with a system that provides 79w per speaker. It looks like the maximum capacity for these speakers would be 100w. But, you can power them with any receiver or powering unit that provides audio to some speakers. Not sure what the minimum would be. Hope this helps!

Friction, you can pop them out easily with access on the back while uninstalled but once they're in the ceiling you need a tiny tool or blade to get it out. A bit of a pain if you want to take off the covers after install.

Nothing so far, haven't had to adjust the mount since putting it on there. I don't ride super often though so YMMV

I mainly have been using it for Spotify and it's been working well for me. I don't switch the sources that often, but may when I get a new zone in my office. Hey glad it helped! Yeah I noticed there wasn't much out there for video on it so was happy to get something out for others. Definitely go to their forums / discourse and suggest CZcams Music if its not already there. Not sure if YT allows APIs to connect through it and whatnot but worth requesting. Good backup solution though. Or a headless chromecast or something with audio pulling via HDMI to analog

My utws3 are about a year old and are still working great unfortunately I work in a bakery and the mic has gotten lots of flour in them. Considering the utws5.

Got a UTWS3 for 45 bucks in a sale earlier this month. Hope it lasts.

The one under your elbow you gotta take out to get underneath. But the front one you can slide forward to access stuff underneath 👍🏻 they both just sort of sit in their place, nothing fancy. Worth it imo

I've used it on Windows / Mac. Not with the microphone though, on Windows just as headphones. Mac has been iffy with the mic. When I use my phone, the microphone has still been problematic unfortunately

I used it a couple times playing Halo on PC and didn’t have any latency issues. Didn’t have any weird audio syncing between the device or headphones as well as between each earbud. The only time I may have noticed a slight difference was when playing around with some DJing equipment / software but even that wasn’t effecting me or anything. Good thing now is the chip has been upgraded over the UTWS1 / 3 so theoretically should perform better. There also is no “humming” noise floor like some people experienced with the UTWS1

@@WarnerDiscovers there is a "Battery Protection" mode that limits charging to 90%. Not exactly what you're looking for but could definitely help if you're concerned about longevity

So far its great, there's no noise floor like the UTWS1 where there a constant high frequency when nothing was playing. Didn't bother me too much, but it's totally gone with this which may have been resolved on the UTWS3
