Nice vid mate! Some good spots in your area!
Cheers mate, yeah great part of the world
Good jack!!!
Get that dawg 😊
I wish you'd quit making crap shots 😅 dead center in the back 😂😂😂
I think you need to get out on the water and release a bit of that negative energy on some fish boss. And that's not even me in the water, I was just filming
@@Daxsspearandfishing If you didn't shoot the fish the criticism wasn't at you. Whoever your mate is is a crap 💩 shot. Happy now ?
What a crap shot 😮
Mate, brush up in your shot placement. Your like the Russian carpenter, Ivan Hackemoff
Youre not wrong 🤣, I don't seem to do real well with anything other than my 130 rob Allen, might just have to stick to using that
It amazes me how we can spot and shoot in bad vis. Wish this wind would go away, of course I have days off this weekend!
Yeah it really doesn't take much vis to see em, I suppose barra don't help them selves being big and shiny
🤙
cool video bro, the footage is really good, keep up the good content!
Cheers mate, any excuse to get in the water and I'll be there 😂
@@Daxsspearandfishing hahaahah, its th best place to be :)
Incredible footage!😮
Cheers !
nice shot! good reports of big tuskies around this weekend for those who got out.
Cheers mate

Cheers mate
the snappers are best fish
Fillet o fish burger pls br0
Coming right up
Great video!🎉
Do you guys make your own rubbers?
Yeah man, best to be able to re-do them on the water if you need
How’s that vis! Got 3 nice tusky’s last weekend and my mate got a PB, hopefully get out again this weekend. That little patch of sunlight is beautiful in the cave.
Top stuff mate, sound like you guys had a good weekend. Yeah that's gotta be one of the best caves I've found diving so far
Awesome video mate!! Beautiful fish, what a day!!
Cheers mate
Nice shot 👍
Cheers mate
Great fish mate, that ledge was pretty cool!
Cheers mate, definitely a good find that ledge
I saw a black spot I reckon had to be atleast that big up here on Wednesday but I didn't have a float on and no reel and wasn't game to shoot it and risk my gun disappearing. awesome video.
Spewing man, if you get the shot right they're pretty easy to handle but definitely a risk hitting a fish this big without a reel or anything. At least he's still out there for next time
Did you say 100km of shore in south east Queensland and your shooting Jew in 10m of water ?
Yeah I've always thought this area was still classified as SEQ technically but now I've checked I'm sorta just north of it. I think it's part of the wide bay/Burnett area more so
Great video!
Probably 15 Years old. I always leave the old ones for repro, otherwise the won't be none for the kids to shoot. Nice video tho.
Cheers mate, that's a fair point but this fish is getting pretty close to as big as they get. Which means it's probably done it's fair share of breeding and as far as I see it I'd rather take this fish and leave the smaller ones to take it's place as they're likely more fertile and will produce more and stronger off spring
Generally, the older fish have higher fecundity rates, obviously to point when they just get too old, but its the bigger ones that carry the brunt of breeding responsibility@@Daxsspearandfishing
@@joedoonan1762see plenty of 7-8kg ones that we let swim away. Sometimes if ya only taking 1 fish every couple years around that size but let dozens of 7-8kg ones alone you’re not going to hurt it as much as you think. Still more sustainable than boaties feeding sharks all day because they’re not quick enough to wind them in
That’s a monster! Would be way over the Australian record. Have you got some footage on a set of scales?
Aus record is over 16kg
Yeah aus record is a giant, I don't have any footage of this fella on scales but do have pictures
seq more north where is it
Cool video Dax!
Cheers mate
Mint old haines legends My folks have a Hunter 163
Cheers man, this one's a mates boat, I've got a newer model center console Haines. This one definitely out rides it though.
love it
Swift gaff moves dude 😎
Great video! 🎉
Those look like what we call Nantes where I’m from
Are you talking about the fish on the cover or something else?
@@Daxsspearandfishing the one on the thumbnail and I meant to type nabeta they live in the sand very deep and look identical to yours and are delicious, nabeta
I gave them a search, they do look pretty similar although I think ours get a fair bit bigger. They’re known as a black spot tuskfish and are a great table fish.
@@Daxsspearandfishing very cool 👍🏽
