I watched Haunted Mansion in the theater as someone who enjoys horror movies. And I have to say, Britney’s right. It’s not a very good movie and it’s a huge disappointment. Disney had a huge opportunity to make a real horror movie that’s actually scary and they have done what they’ve done too many times before: a half-hearted story using gimmicks or nostalgia bait rather than passion or originality. I hope that we eventually see a real, scary horror movie from Disney that’s a lot better than this.

I love love love the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, so I'm not looking forward to this new Gollum movie. Even though I really like the character and Andy Serkis did and incredible job with it, this sounds like a cashgrab and I can't get excited with it. I just hope it doesn't spoil the memory of the original.

I'm not a fan of LotR... but, correct me if I'm wrong, Gollum...DIED!!! How do you continue after that? And it can't really be a prequel if Elijah Woods is returning as Frodo. AND it can't really be a midquel after Sam goes away because all that could have happened with those characters is already on screen, especially in the extended cuts. My question then becomes: what is the plot? The only idea I can come up with is that Frodo has started disassociating/hallucinating and goes on a journey looking for Gollum out of a belief that he survived. Regardless, this film is the definition of creative bankruptcy and should not be made. It barely ranks under the Mufasa movie.

Random fun fact, since we talked about Marvel so much: today’s exactly 10 years since Guardians of the Galaxy vol1 made its debut. It’s also been exactly 17 years since Deathly Hallows was published. Great stream as always, Britt. Take it easy. :D (PS. Don’t get me wrong, I love Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka. I just think that Tim Burton’s was more… well, Tim Burton-ish. Both are great films in their own right, though.)

The worst thing is that the transformers one will be release at the same time as the wild robot. I will the wild robot over the transformers one. We really need new IP instead of focusing on franshise that we know.

I really enjoyed this movie! Anger violating Pouchy was something I wasn't expecting and really made me and my friends laugh in the theater 😭

This is not a gash grab sequels this time. The anxiety was something. I like the nostalgia. She shoukd be tge villain fro the next inside out sequel.

2026 doesn't look too good movie wise cuz all I see are sequels, remakes, part 5 this part 5 that. Nothing original. Why can't there be an original movie? I'm hesitant to believe Shrek 5 will be good cuz it sounds like beating a dead horse, let a good franchise die. My goodness. I want fresh new movies 😭
