We are playing Alice in Wonderland in my Theatre group right now and I am supposed to sing this song between two scenes. This version here made it so much easier for me to interpret this difficult song! So thank you for that! It's really beautiful! <3

This song deserves better than Little Match Girl pretending she's got the blues.

Difficult, isn't it, to make sense of (why) a Waits cover, and particularly this song... which usually isn't covered well? But it's a version that has feeling, perhaps missing the lyricism of the vocals in the interpretation of the video. A mistake, but most people would feel they could do better and get it wrong too. Hugely like this version
