St Michael's, Aldbourne, Wiltshire. A church largely constructed over the 13th-15th centuries, the striking tower is of 1460. The impressive alabaster monuments are dedicated to various members of the Goddard family of Upper Upham.

St Nicholas Church, Saintbury, Gloucestershire.

St Mary the Virgin, Kempsford, Gloucestershire. The nave dates from around 1120, the chancel and tower were constructed in the next century, although the tower was subsequently rebuilt in the 15th century. G E Street undertook a thorough restoration in 1858, from which time much of the interior decoration dates.

St James the Great, Old Milverton, Warwickshire. Rebuilt in 1879-80 in Decorated style, designed by John Gibson, and paid for by Lord Charles Bertie Percy of the nearby Guy's Cliffe House.

St George, Brailes, Warwickshire. This large church is known locally as the Cathedral of the Feldon, the name for this part of South Warwickshire. The oldest part of the present building dates back to the 13th century.

Chapel of St Peter and St Paul, Brailes, Warwickshire. Founded in 1726 by the Bishop family in an upper story of an old barn attached to their Manor, they had maintained a secret Mass centre throughout the post-reformation Tudor and Stuart eras.

Allegedly a religious site since 917, and rural Warwickshire's largest parish church, the present church of St Edith dates from 1077, when it was founded as a as a priory to the Benedictine Abbey of St Nicolas in Anjou, France. St Martin's is perhaps most famous as the resting place of William Cecil, 1st Baron Burghley, the most enduring English statesman of the Tudor state. Apart from the five years of Mary I's rule, 1553-8, Cecil was at the heart of power for nearly half a century from 1550 to his death in 1598. The site of a Benedictine Monastery founded in 1171, although the present church dates from a rebuilding in 1480. The Monastery would be dissolved in 1537 and what remains is the chancel and crossing tower, with the rest that survives in ruin.

St Andrew's, Steeple Gidding, Cambridgeshire. A redundant church now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, oldest parts date to the 12th century, the tower is 14th century.

Made famous in T. S. Eliot's final quartet, published in 1942. St John's Church, Little Gidding, Cambridgeshire was largely rebuilt in 1714 on the site of a church previously restored by Nicholas Ferrar and the Little Gidding Community in the 1620s.

St Peter's Church, Tickencote, Rutland. This extraordinary church is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Apart from the incredible chancel arch and the vaulting in the chancel, which date from the mid 12th century, the rest of the building was rebuilt in 1792.
