Hey Dan , if you show another Sauna eppisode , i would be curious what your inside water system looks like.
For sure!
A little behind but happy to be catching here Dan! Impressive work and fun play 🙂
Lead Ingot for making muzzle loader balls. 😂
❣️🕊️💙💖💜😇♥️🤍❤️
Love your video's ❤ Thanks for sharing Kia ora from New Zealand ♡♡♡
You are so welcome! I’m glad you enjoy them!
Good day from Philippines. Love all your video contents :)
Thank you I’m glad you enjoy them!
Enjoyed the black bear invasion, and the outraged tone of Lando’s barking at the interloper!
Lando wasn’t to happy about it! 😂
A bear in search one of those great “ simple little meals” of mom’s 😁👍 Oh and awesome comment from dad about the ramen being in jeopardy since you might have left your door open! 😂😂
Yes! Even I can smell one of mom’s delicious meals from a mile off! 😂
@@danvanstralen 😁 I’m sure!
Impressive and lovely! You all are inspiring. I have a deep love of islands on Lake Huron up in that area. It means so much to have all your footage and experience of life there. It is paradise indeed.
nice work mate!....watching from New Zealand.....
Thanks for watching!
Great video. That was proper rain.
Thanks, Yes it was!
Allways enjoy your family blogs, thankyou.😊
Our pleasure!
Interesting and scary interaction, I think there should be a noise maker that works in silence but only bears can hear that frequency and scare them and make them go away from that noise...stay safe
I agree!
Loved this video! What a beautiful place to live and create a meaningful life. It's great seeing you work on your cabin. The bears are a bonus as long as they leave and nobody gets hurt! Your videos always make me miss northern Minnesota. I need to go there again. God bless and be safe!
Glad you enjoyed it! God bless!
Nice work staining wall! You are living the dream!
Dan what kind of helmet and headset are you using that allows you to talk so clearly while you drive?
I actually just have a Rode LAV mic that I clip on the inside of my helmet. It’s been working well for me. 👍🏻
Just wanted to put out there that you are an amazing guy. i really enjoy watching your videos since the very first one, Thanks for all your effort to share with us.
I really appreciate that thank you! I love doing it and I’m glad you enjoy the videos!
❤❤
We have firecrackers at the off grid cottage for bear visits, buy them down in the u.s. and also have them in the ATV when out picking berries
That’s a great idea. Thanks.
Maybe he’s the one you seen swimming across the lake last week, and knew there are good meals there.
Yeah, maybe 😅
If you go away you might have to put metal doors on your wooden doors if you go away?? Scary NZ cheers
Your films are super to watch . Thanks from NZ
Glad you like them!
Have you watched the Dick Proenneke videos on log cabin building?
It’s my favourite documentary. Watch it once a week at least.
Common people! Hit the like button. I promise your finger won't fall off and it will help Dan out. Please and thank you. Good to see you on the bike again. I'll call this the bear bear bike episode. lol
lol 😂 I should have. Definitely bear season. It was nice to be back on my bike for sure.
Nice a beautiful black 🐻 bear, even if there was rain it still beautiful to see the decor outside ! And the bike it was fun to see you on again and having fun! Fun video ! See you for the next one!❤😊
Thank you.
Your style is you, And whatever's going on in your life and whatever you're sharing, that's your style, so no apologies, I really enjoyed this video. ❤
Thank you so much!
Wow Dan, another great video. Amazing that you mention 'maybe we'll see a bear or a moose', then, voila' a black bear is there! I watched Erik Grankvist this past week and he made a nice bed for his cabin. I thought of you., It is his latest video. See you next week. Oh BTW I loved the devil corridor episodes and hope to be doing #3 or 4 and more this coming week. Later.
Erik Grankvisk, is very good at what he does. Learn a lot watching him. See you next week.
good video always love watching thank you so much for shearing
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you enjoy them!
Love hearing the rain and the drops. Its just a place or vibe. The mosquitoes I could do without. Cant wait to see were you go. 🌲🌲🌲🐻🛶🏍🌧💧🪚
Good seeing you back on the bike 🏍️ this video was awesome It had a little bit of everything !!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow. Fire crackers? Didn't think the bear would swim your way.
Oh my a bear he must’ve smelled your mom‘s good cooking and decided to come over and have a little taste😂 jokes aside I am glad everyone is safe thanks God 🙏
I really enjoyed this video,it was nice to see the interaction with the bears and family. Great to see you back on the motorcycle!
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
The lighting is really bad. The natural light would have helped a lot if you opened the blinds in your cabin room.
Thank You Dan for another beautiful video. Coffee and rain go together so perfectly. Your cabin is coming along nicely. I couldnt believe you came right up on a bear just after talking about it. What a treat. Watching from Far North Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
It definitely does. Nothing like rain and coffee and bears.
Catching up with family is so special. Hey bear!!! Happy Summer Adventures to you
You too!! Thanks!
Un invited guest but very decent how ever orlando was not in a mood to share his territory with him which is very perfect 😊. Very nice 👍 vlogue I enjoyed your presentation. ❤ Happy vlogging ahead 😊.
You are right! Lando did not want to share his territory. He is a good protector.
Your mallet is getting a nice workout!
It sure is!
Very cool to see you using the wood mallet you made for chiseling the logs out! And that first rain storm...that's heaven right there, so peaceful and relaxing..yes please!
I agree! Nothing better than a rain storm in the cabin!
Good Sunday morning!! That is crazy that a bear showed up!! Keep up the great vlogs!! 💯🔥☕️☕️
Thanks will do!
Your body will regret lifting these heavy logs one day. Mights suggest a back brace or something-when your legs are shaking, it’s probably too heavy. Hernias happen easily, too. Making me nervous!
Wow that was quite a ride.
Great video Dan. Looking forward to the progress. Thanks for sharing with us
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Dan, Jennifer here from Dubai, I'm from Vancouver and fellow Canadian! I love your blue maple leaf sweatshirt! Where did you buy it?
I bought it at a marks work warehouse but it should be available on their website as well. 👍🏻
@@danvanstralen Thank u! :-)))
If the back of the old cabin had been rotten, it was likely due to water rolling down the hill behind and infiltrating the cabin. Shouldn't you do a drainage trench along the back wall, directing the water to the sides? Loved that you read the comments about the cinder block fix.
I didn’t think of that! I will definitely try putting in some sort of system to prevent that in the future! 👍🏻
Cinder blocks are designed to lay on their sides open side up, not on there ends. Their strength and stability will be compromised standing on their ends. I hope this will be helpful, Dan.
Thank you! I’m new to this so I appreciate the information!
Here before Dan's youtube channel blows up!
Hey Dan, this was a great video, I am so impressed with your work ethic. Glad to hear that you realize how blessed you are to live in such a beautiful environment. It appears that your saw's chain may be a little loose and needs tightening as I could see quite a bit of slack in it. Take care of that back, injuries are so slow to heal!
Will do thanks!
Just got fed this video. R.I.P. your aunt and grandma. I found your channel independent of your family channel, and I've watched quite a bit of it now. It's quite surreal to see you in Pacific City. I live in Salem, but my inlaws have a place in Kiwanda Shores. I've spent the majority of my vacations and weekends away in P.C. for the last 15 years. If you ever need a place to stay, hit me up. We've got a couple kayaks and also own the wooded lot nextdoor with plenty of trees for hammocks. Love your content, can't wait to see the first throwing axe you craft in your new forge!
