Just some random stops on the way to Valley of Fire! Stopped in the Amboy Ghost Town then drove through the Mojave Desert!

Today's journey took me through two checkpoints along the US/Mexico border to Yuma, AZ. I visited the Yuma Territorial Prison which is mostly a museum. Much of the prison was torn down, but the museum was nice and the remaining structures were cool to see!

Today brings us to Camp Verde, AZ where I visited Montezuma's Castle, Motezuma's Well and Tuzigoot National Monument.

Today was a pretty low travel day. I drove around Winslow, AZ and hit up some of the sights. Then I spent a relaxing night at the Wigwam Motel! What a cool experience!

Today I ventured to the Four Corners Monument in Shiprock, NM then off to Kayenta, AZ to see Monument Valley. Unfortunately, I was unable to drive through the entire valley due to flash flooding from the rain. But I managed to get some good pictures and great videos of local horses!
Day 10 - Thursday, June 13th

Another day in New Mexico. Drove through the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness and Bisti Badlands. A great overnight at Angel's Peak Campground. Finally saw some wild horses!

Spent some more time in New Mexico visiting White Sands. Wasn't feeling so well so opted for a hotel for two days to rest up!
Day 7 - Monday, June 10

Today's adventure takes us to New Mexico! I left Fritch, TX and headed a few hours away to Carlsbad, NM to see the caverns. The pictures do not do justice! After a day of exploring the caverns, I made my way to Alamogordo, NM and had a sleepover in a WalMart parking lot with spectacular views!
Day 6 - Sunday, June 9th

Made the trek from Oklahoma into Texas. Saw some iconic things on Route 66 and then made my way to Palo Duro Canyon State Park. The overnight was spent at Lake Meredith in Fritch, TX.
