I'm having my channel for a couple years, trying to make video's every week (instrumentals) but all just about 100 / 200 views and it's burning me out, trying everything, it's taking me all my time (i love the process tho). I'm thinking about going to do more livestreams but that has to be english but I'm dutch so it's been a struggle.

I had that video (on a super small scale) pop off experience. It was the video I put the most effort and money into ever in my life. I built a literal cabin and it costs me thousands plus a huge amount of physical effort. It took my channel from almost nothing to a little above nothing and to be honest I'm grateful for the experience but it also sent me down a rabbit hole of "is this what I have to do to make it." I've been sort of stuck in this weird in between phase of wanting to share my interests, but how do I appeal to everyone that's interested in what I've done. I dunno man...this is a tough and strange journey, but I think that is the reason we are drawn to it. It's definitely not boring. Thank you for your last few videos. I feel like I'm listening to myself from the future.

I have a question for content creators such as yourself.... How much is your medical insurance premium? What's your deductible and max out of pocket? I'm concerned about medical insurance if I were to start creating content.

Thanks for this. I can relate to the desire to do two types of content - well produced and high effort and thoughtful low effort videos. I think it is a balance between wanting to actually be more creative and learn/ practice creative skills, and also just get a video out.

Totally agreed with ur comments about growing slowly and being mindful of how far u take something so as not to take away from ur original dreams and goals. Nice to hear this. I too probably spend too much time alone haha.

I've been doing youtube for 10 years barley 2000 subs...same content posted on tiktok 1 year later on tiktok 10,000 followers. So realized youtube is a corporate ad driven platform "what will make youtube corporation money" vs Tictok which is great at building a real community.

There is an abundance of these kind of videos. But this one resonated with me like no other. I was taken back by my emotional response to this. More so because I don’t know why. You certainly struck a nerve. I’m in my mid fifties and currently in a less than desirable circumstance. With regard to content creating I’m as green as you get. Desperation has led me to consider anything to try and make a meaningful and profound change in my life. Thank you for sharing your journey. thanks for the inspiration. you inspire me to go out and record myself out in the world instead of broadcasting in a room. I also feel really isolated as a video guy (I do this work for clients) I'm also always infront of the computer. well.. I think its key to be able to answer the holistic approach of combining the work we do in a way that doesnt make us need to separate work and life. live workshops in person. I bet it'll bring you hella joy. thank you for this. keep going!
