Working on behalf of the public, the Mayor is responsible for:
POLICE
- Holding the Chief Constable to account for an efficient and effective local police service.
- Setting policing and crime priorities via their plan, and oversees the police budget.
- Supporting community safety activities and
- Providing victims of crime with a range of services.
FIRE AND RESCUE
- Holding the Chief Fire Officer to account for an efficient and effective local fire and rescue service.
- Setting priorities via the Fire and Rescue Plan, and oversees the fire service budget.
- Providing specialist safety services for vulnerable members of our community.

tips need to stay open, im sure they can arrange for only 1 0r 2 cars to go in at a time. we live on a smokefree zone but people are still taking risks by burning their household waste. Also I thought that with people staying at home because they are at risk with chest conditions, that it would be a good idea not to allow bonfires, as it makes them ill from the extra smoke.
