I have a pair of the 615M's and was thinking about getting a pair of the XLF subs. How many students do you think this total system can handle? I have only used my 615M's once at a school dance and they rocked!

@empire562 I actually don't use VDJ, but use Traktor instead. My Dell PC has never crashed since I've been using mp3s. (8yrs now)

Lucky guy! I was at this show, in section 201 second row... so I had a good view of stage left. I got security's attention for some reason, and got told to sit down by one of them, who was a douche... I got busted for rocking out too hard I guess.

@fivestardjs They get very loud, but don't move the amount of air that will kick you in the chest. I find the best arrangement for 2 is to stack 1 on the other and run in between the mains. They are 6th order bandpass tuned 50-120hz and do not have a crossover, you can run your tops full range but the mid bass may get colored if you have bassy tops. I run a pair of Yorkville ef508s each having a bridged Yorkie CR5 @525 W RMS, and these subs can keep up adequately. Not ideal but it works.

I've been using these Yorkville subs for over 8yrs now. They sound a lot louder then their rated 200watts of power. Although you don't get the kickass punch you would from a pair of 15" or 18" subs, these still give you that low bottom end. I've used one one of these bins in a Public School gym and they put out enough bass to satisfy the students. I've only used one of these at all of the Wedding gigs I've done, Older folk still tell me it's too loud. lol

And I suppose you don't use dry ice either, right? Oh.. and I bet you don't have contests at any of the weddings either, right? I hold dance contests, centre piece giveaways and spot dances. This is what most DJ's seem to not be offering their clients. Anyhow, yes the lasers look amazing... but if the clients want to make their wedding different then the traditional wedding... I give it to them.

Well then that's your opinion. You obviously don't sell your clients that "WOW" factor that other DJ Services don't offer. I do. This is not weddings of the past where a DJ just plays music. Today the wedding DJ's spend extra time with the client and give them more bang for their hard earned dollar. A laser show at a wedding gives me that "edge" that gives a lasting memory that people will remember the DJ because he added that extra "WOW" factor to their wedding.

Ohh, that's right ... forgot about the ten minute limit :( Darn. That sucks...

was there with the wifey and 2 kids we had a great time, bought all the expensive shit (t-shirts, drinks ,etc) that was our choice. Now we get to have that great time all over again with hopefully new opening acts even though those ones were great., first crack at seats (all is good) whoever made the decision to cancel made a dam good one
