RT at the height of his powers with the great Zorn.
Habe ich gesehen und gehört. Zwei sehr tolle Typen! GRIPS war auch da.
Same year as I saw him. I'll never forget his mesmerising presence live. What a legend, and what a treat to see him here.
Pete Zorn, the multi-instrumentalist’s multi- instrumentalist
Got that right. Too strong is pete. Hoisting a cup to the blend..fookie treats
Richard Thompson. The absolute best ❤❤❤❤❤
Muy buena música.agradable
20 years old and sounds like they playing it this minute. Phenomenal musicianship from the lot of them. Can't ask for more than these blokes.
I was lucky to be in band with the modest and unassuming Pete Zorn for a very short time. We also both depped in another band together a few times. On zero rehearsal he would listen to a song for about four bars, choose his instrument and join in with a perfect performance. A fine talent much missed
July 23, 2003 Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, Providence RI
Never seen him doing a bad performance. He has so much respect for his fans ❤❤❤❤
You are not alone thinking he has become better getting older. He keeps getting better year after year. The greatest.
Decades of brilliance as a songwriter/guitarist. The great Richard Thompson.

Geht tief unter die Haut.
Genius!
Omg wow the 1st song I was sceptical the second song play me away I’m a fan now
What a humble genius this man is!
The song beginning about 37:00 reminds me of an old Richard and Mimi song called "Dopico". Modal feeling.
Simply the best! Thank you for this post, great sound and image quality! Richard is the most outstanding musician one could ever hope to encounter!
12 seconds in, look at all the bald spots! I'd be one of them if I was there, but I thought it was funny and cute that all these men of a certain age came to see Richard.
Set List: 1. Tear Stained Letter 2. Gethsemane 3. Outside of the Inside 4. Razor Dance 5. Al Bowlly's In Heaven 6. One Door Opens 7. Walking On A Wire 8. Shoot Out The Lights 9. Can't Win 11. Crawl Back (Under My Stone) 12. A Man In Need 13. Jealous Words
Thank you for your service, Betty. P.S. Minor complaint, though: I just clicked on the thumbs-up thing, and the number didn't change.
Sehr von Biermann inspiriert. Klasse!
I always revert to this performance when I find someone that has not found richard Thompson . Never fails .
I've seen RT tons of times, and it is hard to keep them all straight, but I'm pretty sure I was at this show. The recording is every bit as amazing as I remember the show being. Thompson is a national treasure in both the U.S. and the U.K. -- maybe a global treasure is a better way think of him.
I wish this acoustic version of Uninhabited Man was on Apple Music.
At 15 my guitar teacher said, we are not going to play today. I want you to listen to this album. It was "Shoot out the lights". I realized the possibilities. I also realized, anyone that turns you on to RT is a real friend. Thank you Greg Rosenberg!
i have been listening to him for years. i never got to see him. incredibly versatile
Just found this , is awesome ❤️👍🌹💕
hey kids, performed one week ago in me town; remarkable energy still full force. Stunning really...
Danke Micha für diese Erinnerung. Aktueller denn je.
Geschwätz!
I have only recently discovered this amazing talent Can anyone recommend his top songs pls PLEASE
als alter wessi hab ich das lied wahnsinnig geliebt - immer ein griff über die grenzen!
A legend tight there...when will we see his likes again

I sing honkey tonk women to it.
I have a tune very simple . Waltz of a drunken sailor. They would prefer to rob and abuse me to death than let me record or give me air play. Such is the world today.
Ur so good Richard. Ashame u dont get more air play.
Richard, you might just very well be the worlds finest guitarist. Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai are some that come to mind. Your voice is second to none. God you move me. Please come back to Santa Cruz
He's the greatest triple-threat the world has ever known. I'd adore him if he could only play guitar that way, only write songs that way, or only sing that way, but it's almost absurd for one person to have written so many incredible songs, have such an expressive voice, and be a guitar talent on a level that is hard to comprehend or even describe.
Amazing!
Any questions…? Ride on RT.
Saw him in the Hundred Club in London........wonderful....I know he's done masses since but I still absolutely adore his Amnesia album....l feel sorry for folk who haven't discovered him........
Did I really hear only one man and an acoustic guitar?
Amazing, I have no words...
Pete Zorn !!!! Miss him so much.
What a valuable guy to have in a band. The dude could play any instrument and add great harmony vocals too. RT knew how to pick great bandmates. "Tear-Stained Letter" is Zorn's co-starring showcase.
How wonderful, thank you for sharing
great mandolin on shoot out the lights
As good as it gets. Maybe as good as it can get.
Desperately good. Zorn is all things Celtic, to fill any empty space with stringed or voiced harmony. The drummer: impossible to find one that good, but here he is. The bassist invisible, laying down planks any tune could stand or walk on. Thompson playing Viking skies out of an electric while singing with a yeoman's voice Shakespeare's dancing feet. Good enough for tonight. Thanks for putting this up.
The drummer is Earl Harvin, a truly great, unsung drummer... he gets lost in Michael Jerome's shadow among Thompson enthusiasts these days, but he was phenomenal on this tour.
Thanks for saying it.
@@dougaigner3258 He was awesome on the darbuka at 18:30
So glad I was there again. Quality sound, excellent performance. Yep, we've got the chorus :)
