Nothing more of a PITA than water in tires. Gettin' too old for the flip & toss technique; always seemed to get most of the water on me, anyway. Here's a work process tip from an old timer who's made & fixed things for 50+ yrs, just like you do... mostly out of other people's trash. I've spent my life doing things by myself; no sons/nephews. Been 30 yrs since I been able to find hired help who'll show up, or work when they do. I've learned a thing or 3 workin' alone. When you're working on something like fittings, or anything you need to tighten, use the 'perfect' helpers you have. In this case, the table. (Perfect 'cause you don't have to pay 'em, feed 'em or let 'em take pee breaks.) Rotate the pipe so you're pushing down on the fitting & the table, the table'll stabilize it in 1 plane, then you only have to handle the other 2. If it'll work, a Vise Grip, C-clamp can be clamped to the table to handle a 2nd plane. Use what you've got as effectively as you can, even if it's a stick, a big rock & a log! I don't clamp anything down, any more, unless it's a safety necessity. Takes too long to clamp & unclamp. Once I crossed the 60th year, I realized I have fewer summers left than have passed. Made me look at everything I do w/ efficiency in mind; don't have time to be dickin' around w/ things. An old timer taught me years ago to use the time spent tightening, loosening, cleaning, etc to think about a better way to do what I'm doing. Over time, your methods & skills improve; you get more done, and you train your mind to better solve problems & strategize. Nobody has it naturally, got be taught or learn thru mistakes, then practice. Hope my thoughts/suggestions help. GeoD

Enjoyed your video. I just replaced the muffler on my husqvarna rz5424 yesterday along with changing the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plug. I had purchased everything from husqvarna because my local Lowe's didn't have it. I also ordered new exhaust pipes but decided to use the old ones. I had been cutting grass one evening for a couple of hours and after parking the mower went inside the house. About 4 or 5 hours later I happened to look outside and my property was on fire 🔥. The muffler caught the grass on fire 🔥 and it was not only burning my land but had crossed over to the neighbors land. Between my land and the neighbors it was probably 4 or 5 acres burning 🔥. The forest service and the fire 🔥 department showed up and got it under control. I was very lucky that the fire went the direction it did or else my house 🏠 would have caught on fire. Sorry for the long story.

Sweet deal! I picked up a howard price 32 inch walk behind at a farm auction for next to nothing. The tires were flat, it had a broken lever, & the air cleaner was sitting on the deck. They said it ran when they sprayed fluid in the intake , but didn't start it for the bidding. They had regular push mowers that went for $40 each. I paid less than that for it. The tires held air! Cleaned the carb a couple times and it's been running like a champ (knock on wood) You win some & you lose some at auctions.

  • @thecollectoronthecorner7061

Just liked and subscribed. Lookes like a good variety of stuff. One of my favorite things is to attend a auction. Every year they have several spring auctions sponsored by local FFA chapters. Usually limited to farm related items. I attend however rarely buy anything. They have turned into Jockey sales. The tractor and implement dealers and flippers bring their stuff and have shill bidders to try and drive up the prices. I dont attend auctions to pay full retail of what something is worth. I go for the bargains. So most things I buy are from estate auction sales. We have a recient video on our channel of some auction bargains I scored at a estate auction.
