If you look at the steel beams supporting the 'new' bridge, you will see many large rocks that were put there by flash floods. There was an article in Arkansas Times back in the spring talking about the Buffalo River. The article was a out a man who has been an advocate for the river. He had family pictures from the 70s of some of the swimming holes that were quite deep. Those spots don't exist anymore and are usually bone dry now. Who knows why, maybe development in NWA using the water or maybe climate change. Summers in NWA are much hotter than they used to be.

Love those old log cabins. Seeing them make me mindful of how far we've come and how "spoiled" we are in modern society - especially when you consider that one room cabin would often house a large family. There's an old cabin near me in NC that has been restored by the state. Probably no more than 600 sqft. The information sign out front said it was home to a man, his wife, and their 12 children! Must have been stacked like cordwood in there 😆

It does not get all top heavy feeling and hard to maneuver. I think it would be pretty good with a pillion rider on the back. Awesome clear well done video thanks ! Is there a reason you achieved the higher gearing by swapping down 3 teeth on rear sprocket vs going up 1 tooth on the front ? Just curious. I went + 1 on front sprocket last Fall - sure appreciate the lower Hwy revs. I am now installing a Niche brand X-ring HD Chain - 2008 Vstrom is at 22,000 to this point & OE DID chain still isn't worn out just stiff links & needs deep cleaning. Thought Id try this affordable Niche Chain it gets good reviews and we'll see how she holds up. Your trick of feeding the new chain through using the old chain as a leader is GOLDEN....

That road is my favorite ride in the Ozarks, been through there several times. Glad to see you finally made it through this time. All the horses? Those are from the Cross Country Trail Ride, You went by the gate just at the edge of Eminence. It's a big event at the first of every month. On another note, the National Park Service has been trying to close the road between Alley Springs and Eminence for some time. It is a county road, and thankfully the locals and the county commissioner has fought to keep that road open, and keep it a county road. Let's keep that road open to the public.

@@ozarksbackroads5484 No I appreciate it. Found a 16 & verified recalls. Owner put nice additions and plan on buying it. Does have 40K miles but that's ok. Thanks.

Beautiful water in the Current River. Very familiar with the U. S. 60 bridge crossing. Enjoyed the video John and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
