Open source chocolate molding with porous 3d printing by Jonathan David Schroder
In 2023, Blender and Inkscape tricks have been shown at the GrafikLabor, explaining how to design french Petit Ecolier-like chocolate biscuit molds and cookie cutters. This time in 2024, a low-tech PrusaSlicer / Cura3D trick will be demoed to obtain more precise low-relief food-safe molds during thermoforming. The Libre Graphics Meeting logo will be used for making chocolate chip molds with 3 techniques on a dental vacuum-forming machine (FDM without vents, FDM with CAD-made vents, FDM with slicer-step intrinsinc porosity). Such food safe molds can be used for ice cubes, ice cream, cake iced inserts and chocolate bars! Resulting molds will be available to all participants during the event, to make their own ice cubes for drinks or simple yoghurt-based ice creams.

I don't know why I'm excited about 3.0, I don't even know how to use non-destructive tools in Affinity Photo or in Photoshop. I use GIMP to edit architectural renderings at work.
The UI needs a heavy update still. I hope you will find a talented UI person to focus only on this

Hi amazing team! I love GIMP because I use it to remove background a lot. I am wondering of you guys just could embedded Script-fu plugin into GIMP? Because I just recently learnt about Script-fu and most tutorial on CZcams is a few years old and I am not sure if the Script-fu will work in the latest GIMP version. Also please add feature (tool) that can make 3D Editable Text Effect like Photoshop ❤😊🙏 Love GIMP user

Gimp is the worst open source project I have tried.
Parabéns galera e que Deus abençoe o trabalho de vocês, mas, sigam o conselho do @DaviesMediaDesign, assim quando começarmos a usá-lo serão reportados mais bugs e ai talvez se torne mais fácil corrigí-los para a versão 3.0.1, e com os novos recursos talvez apareçam mais apoiadores. Gostaria que o Gimp tivesse o botão salvar na poup up que aparece quando clicamos em fechar e esquecemos de salvar, se tornaria mais prático do que ir é arquivo e salvar, isso pra quem é iniciante e não conhece ctrl+s.
The ui is a big pile of nonsense - this is the thing humans are interacting with. Is it gtk or the devs who are not capable of making something more useful ? But you guys will get a welcome-screen - the most awaited feature nobody needs. 30 years of gimp, and still this mess.

GTK creates many beautiful and consistent UIs. GNOME is proof of that.

Excited for all the upcoming features... My only request is that you all don't get too hung up on imperfections and get this thing released in a reasonable timeframe. Fixes can come later. An MVP (minimum viable product) is all the community needs to get excited about this project again and help make it better. I know you want to get it to a stable state, but don't worry about perfection! Best of luck the rest of the way - and great job on your hard work thus far.
