This type of binding is called a facing, and it’s my favorite way to finish a quilt! There are plenty of great tutorials on CZcams that show you how to do it. I’d be happy to share some if you’re interested. 😊 The quilt hanging up in my room is a scrappy quilt that my mom made about 19 years ago with my grandma (her mom). When my grandma passed, my mom gave it to me. ❤️ I primarily use scraps and bits-and-pieces to sew my quilts. I'm a very scrappy quilter haha My stash is small and organized by color (neutral, red, orange, yellow, etc.), which works for me since I’ve never had much space. The great thing about keeping it small is that I cycle through all my fabrics. I usually buy a fat quarter or second-hand fabric, but sometimes I’ll splurge on a fabric line if I find a pre-cut I like. When I do buy from a designer, I usually gravitate towards Laundry Basket Quilts or fabrics that have that antique Civil War 1800s feel. Thank you for your support 🙏 🥹

Yes, I did 😊 it's a quilt I made for my mom. It's called her "Favorite Things" quilt. All the blocks represent something she loves! Maybe I'll do a video about it in the future if people are interested.
