I was born in 1954. I was fortunate our house was a pretty modern design. Built in 1920 but had a bathroom and an inside toilet. My parents wre magnificent shielding us from the fact we had nothing. I often think back and think they were loke magicians how they managed it. I wouldn't swap my time. The council estate is still there but it's a different kind of people living there now unfortunately

When i was doing my bible lessons, for confirmation- Father Walker asked "did i see Jesus of Nazareth staring Robert Powell on TV?" - I replied "No I wasn't allowed, mother said it was too violent" Father Walker smiled + nodded, lost for words lol. Mother's list uncooth, violent included Z Cars, Shoestring, The Professionals, The Sweeney, Father Ted, and more ! 58 yrs old on CZcams with the kindness of strangers, sharing these wonderful gems, thank you. Born 1957 so I was only 1 year old. My parents had a tough time of it but I played on bomb sites and went scrumping for apples and pears for a pie. I envied people who had elastic in their socks and anyone who had a handkerchief to blow their nose and thought that was posh. My teenage years were better, but we had our gas, electricity and phone cut off when my parents couldn’t pay the bills. My mother cooked all our meals (13 of us) on a single primus stove during the 6 week summer holidays when the gas was cut off. My parents had a relatively comfortable retirement with the help of their children, they did and gave everything to us. I have nothing to complain about the years of poverty in my childhood, I was always happy inside. I have only fond memories and laugh about being two to a bed with piled up coats to keep us warm.

This is a time when Britain was British. Will never be seen again except on old cinamatography. Thankyou to the institutions that preserved the film stock.

My grandparents were both disabled but my grandfather he overcome his stuttering and became a manufacturer. McCowan manufacturing David a McCowan manufacturing and he invented the food and we lived at the farm as pioneers, but they also also lived in the city so we were living at privileged life, which I didn’t realize but when I left home, then I was on my own. I didn’t inherit anybody I inherited $100, so now I’m a fine artist. It’s very hard and I’m disabled, but God is taking care of me providing for me. I lost my life savings to a online impersonator find but I lost all my money, but God provided for me. God always provides in the name of Jesus Christ. I always prayed the Holy Spirit guides me.

Well done, it makes me grateful for all I have. I know that a lot of people who lived in poverty were a lot happier than people that were wealthy who were drinking and didn’t have any goals. They inherited money and it makes it very hard. They die from drugs and everything so I know Godis our saviour our creator his plans are better than our own. Praise Jesus Christ and pray to him at all times and let the holy spirit of lead you.❤❤❤
