Strength doesn't necessarily mean power. Power comes with speed and the knowledge of using your body in a specific way to throw punches. If you have tremendous strength but can't move fast and doesn't know how to really move your body to throw a powerful punch, than it means nothing. My Muay Thai teacher (Skarbowski) is a perfect example of that. When you look at him you don't see any muscle, any sign of strength, but the POWA !! I can vouch, he cracked one of my ribs by just showing me how to knee in the belly, I had my gloved hand on my stomach to protect myself but his knee slipped cause the glove was full of sweat, hit a rib and cracked it 😂 Then one week after he demonstrated on me to the other students a 360 rotation kick on my body (I wore the protective vest), and then a 360 rotation Jumped kick, and all the breath from my lungs went away, I was thrown a couple meters backwards, staid on my feet cause I'm strong at standing my ground, but gosh that Power ! I had never felt something like that. I sumo wrestled the strongest man in France, Aurelien Strongman, when he pushed many of the other guys in my club out of the dohyo, with me he had to pick me and throw me on the side cause when we first connected my power was big enough to match his strength, then we did it again and he moved back to make me fall instead of connecting violently again, which is usually a technique you use against a bigger opponent, but I'm just 5'11" and 177 pounds 😂 and he's 340 pounds and the Strongest man in France, so.....

Do yall remember that boxing match with Shaquille O'Neal vs. some average size boxer, don't remember whom... Shaq lost, despite his bigger reach and tremendously massive body weight 🤷🏽

I love how "pissed" he is and being so enthusiastic like a kid. Ali the greatest, it ain't just about boxing, it's about what boxing represents beyond it just being a sport activity, that's why he's The Greatest, in some future some people probably will not even know he was a boxer, but they will know he was one of the great men of post war 20th century.

The biggest myth here, just like Vitali Byrd is that Vitali looked good and was still strong. Vitali looked gassed and his punches had no zip. He couldn’t handle the Olympic gold medal caliber boxing skills of Lennox.

2 of my 3 biggest sports heroes when I was growing up. If you're talking about a one-time fight, I'd bet on Wilt, even again The Greatest. If you never saw Wilt, you have no idea what a superhuman athlete he was. Ali was a great boxer, the GOAT. Wilt was an entirely different animal.

People dont realise being tall can be a disadvantage when you start reaching the 7 foot mark its really hard to have good balance, people this tall usually dont have good cordination and lasty they cant that much muscle mass on them wilt even if he was a medium pro boxer would get whooped by ali people dont realise how great ali us

I never thought it was possible to talk down on a big guy like wilt. Only muhammad Ali could pull that off ....R.I.P champ.

  • @llewellynjameskinnaird2741

In this age , we all thought size mattered. Most probably rhought wilt would hammer ali... but thanks to guys like Tyson , Usyk, we have seen . A good smaller boxer beats a bigger novice 10times out of 10.

Ali would win almost every time. And I only allow an almost for flukes and miracles. Wilt is strong enough, but without the technique nothing would land. If it did thats another thing. But, again, fluke.

I'm not sure "the decisive edge in reach" would actually be much use to a fuckin' basketball player stepping into the ring with any decent heavyweight boxer, let alone this one. This ain't the movies.

They all met to get this fight signed, on the way Ali’s manager said Wilt’s looking a bit skittish, don’t mess with him until after the contract’s signed. Ali walks in yelling “Timmmmbbbeeerrrr!” and Wilt cancelled the fight right there 😂

Ali could probably win a fight with rules etc. But if it was a street fight Chamberlain would grab Ali and crush him. Chamberlain was known for routinely picking up NBA players and moving them aside. And these are big men.

    • @-Muhammad_Ali-
      @-Muhammad_Ali- Před měsícem

true. But, don't forget in a real fight boxers will not be having the gloves on. Those fists fly recklessly like missiles. Not sure if one can have enough time for picking up someone. After all, almost all boxers with Muhammad Ali included have experience in street fight before getting famous.
