    In portuguese you don't have to say "eu" for "eu te amo". We just say "te amo" as well as they can say it in Spanish and as well as they used to say it in Latin, at least in Brazil. I believe in Portugal they might say eu te amo or amo-te more often (due to their enclitic preferences, brazilians are rather proclitical than enclitical) But in Brazil, te amo is the most common way to say it. You guys can check it on Maria Rita's song "Cria"(offspring). In the introduction to this song we have tons of kids saying "Mommy, I love you" to their mothers. None, I said, NONE say: mamãe, eu te amo. They just go: mamãe, te amo. And they're just kids not trying to embelish things, just being themselves and saying: mamãe, TE AMO. We may say EU te amo if we wanna emphasize it. Like "I DO love you!" It isn't wrong nor uncommon, but in the trivials, day-to-day, unconsidered "luv ya" kinda thing, we just go with te amo

    There is no single word for purple in Dutch. We have purper, paars, violet and lila. They are all slightly different. The same is true for other languages. If you think Russian always uses siniy for blue, you are in for a surprise. Sometimes, the object influences whether you use the shades or the main colour. In Russian, hair can be korichnevyi, but eyes can't. They are either karye or chornye.

    • @DikWhite
      @DikWhite Před 10 hodinami

      @@alexandervanhove7327 yes, in English the equivalent words purple, mauve, violet and lilac are used. I've always used either purple or mauve and don't actually know if there's a difference. I've never used the words lilac or violet, personal preference l suppose.

    • @alexandervanhove7327
      @alexandervanhove7327 Před dnem

      Belgium has Dutch 58%, French 41% and German 1%. All three are official languages. The number of German speakers in Belgium is higher than the number of German speakers in Lichtenstein, the number of Romansh speakers in Switzerland and probably the number of Belarusian speakers in Belarus and the number of Irish speakers as a mother tongue in Ireland. There is therefore an argument to only show Dutch. Except of course when the Belgian speakers of French use a different word than the people of France. Only valid for purple. Walloons can use pourpre, violet and Lila. Probably Dutch influence.
