It amazes me how a mall that only really lasted for about 35 years, with all the money spent on building supplies and land and everything else, how people can just write it off. I live on a 200 year old farm and I will never sell it. Just amazing how much money was lost.

Hate to break it to you, but our officials could careless if the homeless kill each other off the way they look at it is they are just offing a problem they do not want to deal with !! I live here I watch how they latterly steal people's rv trailers parked as they say illegally ( Lafayette) while taking it leaves pregnant woman homeless along with her husband that's only one example another allowing people to rent out the rooms in their homes taking people's money then locking them out police do nothing it's civil they say in that case if it's civil and they open the door the person who got thrown out should be able to return to their home the person causing issues should be arrested! I've seen the issues, and there is no help for these people because our police do not care. Hate to break it to everyone, but it could happen to anyone here in the blink of an eye and when it does you to will be out there on dope. It's the only way to deal with it!

The real tragedy is that the Mall could of been restored and used but West Mifflin's local government had some kind of shady shit with Moonbeam. Another firm tried to buy the Mall originally and displayed plans for it to be converted to an inclusive gated community with condos and apartments. They were going to anchor a Grocery store and allow commercial spots for a internal convenience store. They planned for an indoor playground and other amenities for residents. The inside would be only accessible by tennents. It was a cool concept and they had plans to put a call center and office space at the other end.

Man what made you decide to not tell us the sentences for the ‘Mall Ratz’ obviously most of them have a release date!

It’s a little misleading in the title to say “KILLER”, and then watch through the whole video and find out it’s A LOT of killers, as in plural. I’m from Michigan, and knew most of these places. But the title made it show that ONE MAN was responsible, with a picture of many women. As if it was one man who killed them. And it says ‘94-‘96. Then in the video it shows murders from three different decades, with a dozen different killers. A well done video, but very misleading title and thumbnail picture.

I saw on the news several months back that there were several more homeless killed in Denver. They were all killed while living in a couple of the former hotels that the city had purchased and converted to homeless shelters. Wonder if any of those could be connected to any of these that you highlighted in your video.

I was homeless for ten years, beginning in 2009. The worst enemy a homeless person has is another homeless person. Mental illness, drug addiction, a dog eat dog environment, coupled with a persecution complex, it all adds up to a volatile mix. I never saw anyone murdered, but I've witnessed hundreds of lethally potential fights, usually over the most trivial things. The most common flare ups would be over an alleged theft. One person would lose or misplace an item, then insist it was stolen by their campmate, or some other guy who passed their spot five minutes ago.

Really good memories in that mall during the early-mid 80's. My parents would take me and a carload of my friends (about an hour drive) there just to hangout, shop, meet girls, and just be curious teenagers. It was really an event for us considering the place was like a small city. RIP C3!!!

I live in the Pittsburgh area, and I was there many times. What a shame, it really was a beautiful mall. I knew a guy that was showing off for some girls and he jumped from the top level and broke both of his legs really bad. I remember.

This mall was always packed in the 1980's and 1990's. It brings back so many memories, and I got my first job at Claire's there. I remember the movie theatre that used to be there, and I saw the Brady Bunch movie there with a friend and my brother and his friend. My God, so many memories. I had coneys all the time at Kirby's. I ate the Lakeshore Grill in Hudson's, which is now Macy's. I played in the kids area, and it was just carpet and stairs (you had to use your imagination). I had no idea that Richard Simmons came here, and they held Newlywed Game auditions. I used to go there after class when I was in college, and class got out early, or if I finished an exam earlier. In 2008, it really started to go downhill. With Lord and Taylor gone, and Sears gone, it really became dead.

It's scary to think if there's somebody out there killing prostitutes and homeless people the world that wouldn't even know about it if we didn't dig. There's been someone killing homeless in Salt Lake City and the police haven't reported about it there's one thing on CZcams about it but there's been 20 plus people killed over the past 10 years. Why hasn't this made the news?
