Don't buy kodiak, really bad customer service when or if you can get a hold of them and they'll blow you off and not fix their f ups. Poor product if gen 2 was suppose to be an improvement to the gen 1 only to find out after 60 rounds the gun was garbage.

Small correction, the Howa 1500 is the same gun as the Weatherby Vanguard, which came out in 1970, and was always made by Howa for Weatherby. 1979 is just when Howa started exporting them under their own name as the 1500 or M1500. they havent changed it much because it hasnt needed much to be changed. my Howa 1500 is my favorite rifle to shoot.
