Frozen out.. Well... I'm an old owner operator when it ever got that cold I never shut them down I just let him run all the time and idled it up from the manual throttle
Sadly went here this week. Those trails are rutted beyond belief. Nothing like what’s in the video unfortunately. My boys 90 was swallowed whole in the ruts.

The sound of a 3406 cold starting brings back memories of freezing my fingers off turning on and holding the preheat knob in my old '73 K 100 cab over

I dont know much about truck engines and how the operate, but is the knocking sound normal on these?
Upon warm up, yes. But if it doesn't go away after 30 minutes of idling, then your engine may have a serious problem.

Very hard on battery connections starter and ground connections when starting without being plugged in when in cold temps like that !!!

This place is a total shit hole. The trails are never maintained, rutted , wash out ,huge rocks everywhere . Flat areas are all completely rough . It's a dump. Not worth the $25 admission..
I agree when I take my yz250 down the trials one moment it flat and rough next second I’m stuck in a 5 ft mud hole
Also where the jumps are side by sides are litterly rutting the area
