I love tiny big machines!
Welcome to my channel. I'm inspired by large machines and historical railroad functions to create animated model railroad pieces hand built from scratch. I live in the Pacific Northwest and take most of my railroad inspiration from this region.

"Arbre De Couche" 1/65 Ratio

"Marine Lathe" 1/65 Scale Working Model
zhlédnutí 917Před 21 dnem
I challenged myself to build a working model of a Marine Lathe at 1/65th scale. A full size marine lathe is primarily used to straighten, repair or build a propeller shaft for a ship. For a time I worked professionally in a shop with a marine lathe. Building a functioning model at 1/65th scale was one of my most challenging project. I'm pleased that it actually cuts metal in the same way as the...

American 440 - The Early Steam Era - by Michael Bourda

I love the early steam era of locomotives. Some of the most beautiful and iconic trains were built during this time. They inspired me to build a special model locomotive... of course I had to modify it. In this video I talk about the history of the early steam era, the customized working model I put together, and share a video from the archives that features the last operating steam engine. Ple...
Great Northern Apple Yard - by Michael Bourda

Part of the history of the great Northwestern rail routes includes the one that allowed Washington-grown apples to be distributed anywhere in the USA, and eventually the world. Inspired by this bit of Northwest train history, I built an animated, motorized, and functioning miniature apple box loader for my HO Scale train layout. Please enjoy this video! Michael
Goldfinger Car Crusher HO Scale by Michael Bourda
zhlédnutí 195Před 3 lety
One of my favorite James Bond scenes is from the movie Goldfinger where Oddjob drives a brand new 1964 Lincoln Continental into the junkyard to be lifted by the crane and dropped into the hydraulic car crusher... then the cube of metal that was once a car is loaded up and driven away. That scene inspired me to build an HO scale animated model for my train layout. I designed the mechanics myself...

That is beautiful work! 👍👍👍
Good morning, Michael, My name is Dan. I live in Easton, and recently, I've been making HO-scale models of interesting Kittitas County buildings. I'm contacting you because I'd love to take a few pictures of my models in a layout. I currently don't have one of my own. For your trouble, I'd be happy to give you a copy of each model. It would only take fifteen minutes. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Dan
That's a helluva complex.
Hey. That was really cool. I have trains and watched videos. I wasn’t sure where you were going at first but then it all began to make sense. Very nice. Than you.
Look up Big Brutus in West Mineral kansas USA
Nice video! You have obviously put lots of effort into your layout and watching the video is very entertaining. Thanks for posting it!
Ned, thank you for the compliments! Very encouraging.
Great fork lift, like to know how you did this
many of my videos have a "making of" section... I should make one for the forklift. There's a lot going on under the surface ;-)
Nice railroad and history. Farmer needs to keep his cows penned. The train can't stop in time. Good switching speed. Enjoy your operations.
Thanks Mike!
