Tanzania: Bahá’í Most Holy Book published in Swahili
A recent gathering at the National Bahá’í Centre in Dar es Salaam celebrated the inaugural publication of the Swahili translation of the Kitáb-i-Aqdas-Bahá’u’lláh’s Most Holy Book-making this sacred text available in a language spoken by over 200 million people across Africa and beyond.
The project commenced in 2015 when the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Tanzania brought together a translation team dedicated to this project in order to ensure a faithful rendition of the sacred text. By 2022, the translation had been completed and rigorously reviewed to ensure its faithfulness to the original. The event marked the release of the first printed edition.

Construction of this huge and expensive shrine is against Abdulbah's wishes. Abdulbah did not want this massive, costly shrine to be built.

Shallow attempt at unity- without giving voice to God. What will be its long term purpose?
Without giving voice to God? What do you mean? The Bahá'í Faith is all about God's love towards all humankind. For example, "O SON OF MAN! I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life." As to its long-term purpose, let me quote Shoghi Effendi who headed the Faith from 1921 to 1957: "God’s purpose is none other than to usher in, in ways He alone can bring about, and the full significance of which He alone can fathom, the Great, the Golden Age of a long-divided, a long-afflicted humanity." In other words, the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. 😇
What a colourful event, the bahais' seem to have a formula!
A formula given early in the Bahá'í Writings: "O Son of Spirit! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly, and radiant heart that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting."

This house of worship unites the people of your country. It is a gift to all people to worship in praise to God. Come in the Name of Christ who is Our Lord.
Then how comes they never once mentioned the name of our Lord and Savior?
@alistairkichawen8046 this is a House of Worship, a place where all are welcome to come and pray. In this House their are no sermons or lectures, only the reading or singing of words of scripture. Although Baha'i accept and believe in Christ and the Holy Bible, we follow no specific Christian doctrine or interpretation. You are probably aware that there are many denominations of churches, each of which declares they have the true understanding. Jesus wants unity of the people. You know how these differences have caused great divisions in the church of Jesus Christ. Baha's do not promote one over the other as more true. It's difficult to explain this over the internet, so I suggest you contact the Baha'is in your area about this question, so they can explain better. Bless you.
