🤣 awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only one
Mulch
What kind of mulch do you recommend?
@@revivedhomemaking hay, grass clippings, wood chips, all will do wonders.
Looks like squash vine borers got your squash. Search for squash vine larvae inside the stems at the base.
I believe something like that happened. How do I help the plant with those?
Check out 'the aberrant gardener'. She has a great video on dealing with vine borers; I saved 5 out of 6 zucchini plants one year with her method.
@revivedhomemaking once the borer larvae get into the stems, the plant is basically toast. There are ways to fight them before that stage. Several videos on here about that. Depending on your zone, it's possible to start new plants for harvest before fall frosts. In my area the borer is so bad I went to a different type of squash called Rampucante. They are resistant to the borers. A bit different looking squash, but early, small ones can be cooked like zucchini. The older more mature ones can be used like butternuts.
I want to say my heart greaves for your loss. I was devastated when it happened to me.
@auntdello5286 amazing! I already putted all of these out and planted new seeds that are growing but I'm asking so I can watch out for it
Yeah, it’s sad, but once a zucchini shows sights of struggle, it’s pretty well done. You’re better off to seed several.
Yeah, I had seeded several but I didn't realize how big the plant got. I had to put some out to make room
Keep learning, keep growing 💗
@@SmartFarms2024 🥰😁
I've learned that garden posts shouldn't be of metal cause during hot days they get heated and kills the plant.. (when plant attaches itself to the posts)
@graffreaky4513 That's true, maybe I'll reconsider the posts with something else 🤔
Yes. Based. Idek what we talkin about
@@OwieTFStudio we are talking about zucchini plants and having to reset a garden bed
@@revivedhomemaking oh ok this has happened to me too
@@OwieTFStudio 😊
Corinthians, 🏳 it's been a while... OK, on with the garden , if I may. Yes to much heat ( you must be in the Midwest) possibly the water could be pooling underneath ( causing die off of your fungal & micro ) question: " do you have town H2o , it could be what the town puts in the water supply for dental hygiene. Letting your water sit out in a five gallon bucket for a few hours will help evaporate the chems. New mulch on top can protect from heat , evaporation and provide a habitat for some live good bacteria ( of which it seems there is not a lot of in your raised beds .. ) remember we're not growing plants , , ( we are growing soil ) that said , grate job troubleshooting,. Shade cloth , good idea ! Shootout to the husband for helping , good man ..... Blessings to all .....
@NORATECHNOLOGIES thank you. That is very helpful. I live in the south right now. These are amazing suggestions! 😍 The water pooling can be very likely it flash floods regularly when it thunderstorms. Yes I do use city water so that is very possible. I'd like to set up a rain barrel but I just don't feel like I have much room. Our house also doesn't have gutters soo rain barrel seems a bit overwhelming
@@revivedhomemaking rain is the best , I've no gutters either at the moment but what I do is put a wide tote under the eve to catch the rain . Ten plus gallon... but that's at the house , at the farm I use a very big set up . . In the south, cool . I'm up in New England.
@NORATECHNOLOGIES that's a great idea, I just worry about mosquitoes growing in the water
@@revivedhomemaking I harvest the captured rain and put in to 1 gallon jugs rite away ..
@NORATECHNOLOGIES WOW, so simple. I overcomplicate everything. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it. That is such a great idea 😃

Where were you with the twenty days before this point... denial is losing a few leaves. You're looking at egyptian mummification at this point. Because those plants are basically dust. Try Ace hardware or your farmers market. I got really lucky last weekend. Grabbed 4 pots each with a double zucchini plant and replanted them all in bigger cups. They're getting planted out tomorrow.
@GetFitEatRight happens fast with 110-degree days
Its going to damage the rubber seals in the tank
@@donnb8171 That's good to know. I'll keep an eye on it. Thank you

I love weeding.
Currently avoiding waiting all my gardens right now. It’s just lonely doing it by yourself.
Yes, I agree it is lonely 🥺 glad I can share it here because it made me feel less alone 🥰 sometimes the hardest part is starting
In our house growing up you'd have a 100 % chance of wishing you were 6ft under if one thing was out of place at home.😮
I'm sorry. That must've been hard 🫤
I wanna eat bread.

Cool!
This looks pretty good
Thank you. It was delicious we put ranch as the base, with chicken and bacon. It was the best one yet! 😅
Thank you!! Great tip! I can’t wait to try this because it always ends up EVERYWHERE 😫 🙂
You're welcome!! It's the only way I do it because I don't want it to get everywhere lol hope it works for you too😁
Or………..No diagram and just pay attention. It only goes together one way 😂
It's just good practice. To each his own.
Use milk with baking soda or regular flour dusted on the areas
I haven't heard that before. Thank you! I'll do that as follow up care. I went through and pulled then off by hand with soapy water.
Get some ducks.. they will clean up all the bugs. China uses ducks no pesticides
I love that. I don't think I could have ducks where I live but I'll keep that in mind next time we look to move ❤️ thank you for that!
I need some kind of inexpensive “stand” for my dog to stand on so I don’t have fo bend over to wash her. Kills my back.
Yes, those are nice. Kills my back too 😫 I thought about getting something like that but i think my dog would just jump off/out. I love the hose attachment because it makes washer her alittle faster which helps alittle lol
I must say, your dog behaves better than some kids I know. At least she comes when you call her. I really like Ava! What a beauty. ❤❤
She's very clever so she used to be harder at hearing when she was a pup but she started to do better as she grows older. Im glad to have a good relationship with her so she trusts me. She has some pretty bad anxiety though. I love her too 🥰
He taught me how to change my oil and filter HE'S THE GOAT!!!
😂 Glad you learned something.
Wow! Your husband seems like he is a pretty good mechanic! I enjoyed watching this engine work. Very interesting content. Good job!! 😊
That is something he really enjoys and we enjoy doing it together
It made me smile the way your dog only wanted to walk on the sheet metal and not the grass! The way he/she digs in your garden, you would think he/she didn't mind getting a little messed up!.Too funny. 😊 It looks like your daughter could use some type of an outdoors toy box. I wish I had one I could gift to you.
She's an interesting gal for sure lol. I figured out why she was digging in the bed. She hid her bone in there 🤦♀️ I also figured out that she wasn't really digging in it at first she was using it to run faster when she'd take her laps around the yard(she loves too run)
Oh! I see! She was doing her zoomies!! How cute! 😂
@@c.klorenz4332 never heard them called that lol but yes
Those little trees and ginger men sure are cute on your soap. Where did you find your little soap toppers? How long have you been making soap? There is a lady on CZcams named Crystal, who makes goat soap. You can see how she does it on Blue Cactus Dairy Goats. She sales hers on etsy. Nice stuff! ❤
I made the embeds in silicone molds. I've been making soap for about 4 years. That's awesome! I'll have to look. I love royalty soaps and bramble berry they make lots of soaps. I have an esty but I took everything down for now. I'll probably put it back up online for sale soon.
I was wondering, since it has been raining so much with all of the storms, could it be possible that the yellowing of the plants is related to too much water? Or is the opposite happening? The baby cucumbers are so cute!
Most of the plants are happy but the green beans are really unhappy. I tried to do some research and I believe its the heat because its been 90s outside and has been feeling like low 100s even with the rain. So I believe its the heat and humidity. I think its just too much for them. This recent storm that came through has really damaged them and some of the plants blew over from the high winds. It'll be okay though Ill probably pull them up and replace them with something else. I'm not sure what I want to put there instead. Any Ideas? Maybe some other types of peppers(I've heard they do well in the heat)? I'm not sure because the heat is about to get much worse. I may just have to wait until the end of august to plant more stuff out.
I'm not sure what you and your family like to eat, but some type of pea plants do well in the heat and humidity of the south. I really like purple hull peas or fresh black eye peas. Okra does well in harsh temperatures too. ❤️
@c.klorenz4332 I'll have to look into them. Honestly we are willing to try new things often so it might be fun to grow something different. Thank you!
I've heard a lot of farmers talk about spraying stuff with hot pepper water. Like boiling red chili peppers? Or I imagine you could boil any kind of hot pepper and use the strained water to mist your plants and bugs won't want to mess with it
Thank you! That's a great idea. I believe I've heard of people using chili powder in water. Wow, I didn't think about that lol 😅
Question: Is it very expensive to get a garden started as bad as the weather is here in the south? Also, do the seeds you plant reproduce themselves, or do you have to repurchase seeds every time you need them? ❤
It can be. It really depends on what you're trying to make because you can use really expensive materials or cheaper ones. There's alot of things you can find for pretty cheap on Facebook market place. You could even start a garden in the ground which can be one of the cheaper methods. Most gardens take time but if you work at it, it can be amazing. If you buy heirloom varieties of seeds you can reuse the seeds they produce to grow the same plants again but the hybrid varieties usually don't grow the same plants again. I decided to buy a very large pack of heirloom seeds so that I can save the seed and plant them again but there are other benefits to using hybrid plants or seeds.
Thank you for your reply. It really helps a lot!
You're welcome 😊 please feel free to ask when ever if you have questions and I'll do my best to answer them The weather here in the south is actually amazing for gardens most of the time. The biggest issue is pests and then the really hot months but otherwise it's amazing.
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear you have been ill! It is not fun to care for our families and our homes when one doesn't feel good. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Thank you for putting out this video despite being under the weather. It shows how serious and dedicated you are. BTW, I love your quality control person! 😊❤❤
Yes, it's a challenge but I took great care of myself so that I could make sure my family was cared for ❤️ I'm working hard to keep a schedule so that I don't miss a day I set up for myself. I hope next weeks videos will make it out on time. Thank you. I love her too lol 💕
That's a nice variety of flower seeds you purchased. Wow! Your daughter got a lot of cool toys and things.❤
