A Minor War History by Martin Alonzo Haynes - Audiobook
A Minor War History by Martin Alonzo Haynes.
A personal history of the American Civil War taken from the author's own letters to 'the girl he left behind', who later became his wife. This is not a complete history and does not deal with major events but is a snapshot of life in the Second New Hampshire Regiment and humanizes the history we study. Haynes went on to have an illustrious career. After the war, he founded a local newspaper, of which he was editor. He was also elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives and became clerk to the county Supreme Court. He was president of the New Hampshire Veteran's Association. Haynes served as United States Representative for the state of New Hampshire from 1883-1887. He then moved to the Treasury Department and was instrumental in founding the Internal Revenue Service of the Philippines. (Summary by Lynne Thompson)

International Bankers, and multinational corporations (I.e. IBM, Standard Oil), have been funding both sides of every war since the French Revolution (1790s). It took 120+ years, and three attempts, to implement the League of Nations (LoN). 1) 1817; thwarted by Russian diplomatic relations. 2) 1922; thwarted by a USA public that was sick of war. It took 100 years of planning to overthrow Russia, by backing the insurgents during the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, making Russia withdraw from the battlefields of WWI. 3) The UN (LoN3) was founded, under the guise of a peacekeeping mission, in order to conquer the world. The most inefficient operational management/logistics, the deepest rooted corruption in the world and lawless thuggery that has instigated more war than peace. If either they are the worst peacekeeping force in the history of mankind, or peacekeeping was never their intention.

You say that about almost every book! Lol 😂 I guess you know exactly what you want, but everyone has different tastes (sorry if this is patronising) but I find if you liked everything you saw then that would be impossible! We all have a fingerprint unique perception and there’s no reality other than that which is perceptual! There are so many great choices on this channel (free) that I am sure you will (and possibly have) found to your taste! Best of luck! You and your cat look great together! ♄
